i think im passing out but idk

    this has happend to me twice now the first time i was ripping a bong and passed but after that i just lost it and fell into the person next to me and was like that for 30secs the people told me they said i passed out.

    then the other night i was ripping a water pipe took a hit way to big which i shoulnt have i know my limits but it happed again this time i fell out of a chair?

    when it happens its like i think of something really hard and then i just wake up and feel fine but everyone is like wtf just happend am i blacking out or what?

    Technically, that would be passing out, not blacking out. What probably happened is you exhaled before taking a huge hit, which you probably held for a while. Then theres the fact that theres CO in pot smoke, not dangerous levels, but enough to temporarily decreases the oxygen that gets to your brain. All that, in addition with the lowered blood pressure that pot causes, could be whats making you pass out. If you are holding the smoke in for a long time, than stop, it doesn't increase the high. All the THC your lungs absorb, is absorbed when the smoke rushes in.

    ok well it was my buddies water pipe and we were breakin it in so i was ripping on i prettty good and tried to hold it in but as i was exhaling is when i passed out

    I heard after five seconds, the thc was gone. Maybs I am misinformed

    You don't get any more smoke in your airways after the first 3 seconds. People think that their lungs absorb smoke like a sponge absorbs water; they don't. Gas mechanics are not the same as fluid mechanics. After the initial inhalation, which FORCES the smoke into your blood stream, the smoke that's left just chillin' in your lungs stays there. You need to FORCE smoke into your blood stream, just holding it in your lungs does nothing but increase lung damage. Spread the knowledge please.
