This is how today has gone

As soon as I woke up today I had this feeling in my stomach. It's the same feeling you get when your going down a roller coaster.

I thought "damn, today is the day." I've been planning on asking my ex out because life sucks without her. I was %99 she'd say yes but I was still nervous.

So anyway the day progressed. I had to clean my bowlpiece because it was clogged. So I smoked all the rez and got insanley high.

Then I came on here and started posting, then I realized "hey I could probably get every last post" So I did that. Then some chick came on and was trying to get all the last posts aswell. So we battled it out for a while, thank god she was so determined to get the last posts because it killed like an hour of my time.

Then I look at the clock. It was time to get my friend to buy me some spiced rum. So he gets it and comes over and I payed him and he left.

This is were I was getting nervous. I go on msn, tell my ex I need to talk to her and I went to her house. I get there and then we went in her room like normal and had a sesh and listened to music.

At this point I was pretty high and I was starting to think "damn I'm too high to ask her out, what if say's no?" But then I thought about the Trailer Park Boys. One of the main characters has a girlfriend but she's always dumps him and then they get back together.

So I think in my head "Come on, I have to ask her out. Ricky would do it" (ricky's the character I was talking about).

There I was sitting in her room.... I then realized there has been a silence for like 15 seconds.. Then all of a sudden I asked her out, I didn't even mean to say it. It just happened.

She looks at me and said "....You know I told you, we can be back together when I figure when I figure school out.

I was crushed inside and thought I would just die at that moment. But then all of a sudden I say "so we can still fuck right?" I was just saying it as a smartass comment but she says "god yes, why wouldn't we?"

I say "well were taking a break, why would we do that if were not together" Then she just looked at me and didn't say anything.

Then all of a sudden I thought of the smartest thing I've ever fucking thought of in my entire life. I said "well if you think about it, nothing's changed since we've taken a break, we still talk, smoke dope, and get drunk. Me being your boyfriend is just a title, it doesnt make anything different. It's just a word, boyfriend girlfriend they're words! It doesnt make anything different at all!"

She says "well if it doesnt make a difference why does it matter if your my boyfriend?" And then I said "because......"

Then she hugged me and said "I forgive you" and I looked at her all weird and said "for what" and she says "You know what"

Then I realized she was just fucking with me. I asked her "so were together again?" she says while giving me the evil eye "well..... For now atleast".

Then we laughed and I told her "were getting drunk as fuck tonight" and she says "Oh... Well I can't I have to go to work in an hour!"

The only thing I could say was "god damn".

But everything is back to normal.... Well except now I have a twixer of spiced rum.

I guess I'll save it for school on monday.

....I still can't believe she used the "were taking a break" line on me, that still kind of bugs me. But oh well things are back to normal.

 

Damn I didn't know I wrote that much... I just got sucked into it.Oh yeah I forgot to mention I don't know what to do with the song lyrics I wrote while we were broken up.They aren't gay breakupsongs, they deal with some deep shit that was going on through my mind at the time. A lot of the songs are about: Solitude, nightmares, blood and other cool shit.I don't know if I can use them... It makes me feel like I'm betraying her just by reading them.

Why is that a bad thing? If i said someone else than Ricky like Al Pacino or something like that you wouldn't be saying that.

It doesnt matter what gave me the confidence to do it, this was a huge thing in my life and it just happens that Ricky was the thing that made me think "I have to do this, it's now or never.

I know I usually make a lot of jokes around here and stuff. But this is serious, this is real shit.

Your gf's reaction to the "so we can still fuck" is HILARIOUS. Sucks you couldn't get drunk with her. I was trying to get drunk with the girl I like tonight, but she is too damn busy. Next weekend is her birthday though so I'm gonna buy a nice bottle of vodka to drink with her.

It's funny because when I said that I was really pissed because I thought she was gonna reject me.

exactly. this is one of those profound truths in life. i was friends with benefits with my now hubby for awhile, and when i asked him to be my boyfriend, i was rejected. it was a mis communication, i would not have gone to bootcamp if he had said yes. i wasn't locked into anything, but i went because he didn't want to be with me. many people have similar stories, and many never realize the hidden truth in the kind of pain these events cause. you are lucky.
