Finally watched that movie tonight, quite possibly my favorite movie now. Anyone else here seen it? Your thoughts?

Eh. I think the use of druggies clouded the real meaning too much; just that they needed to include the mom's diet pill story to actually display the meaning clearly is pretty lame. There's a lot of little shit in it that annoyed me; but for the most part it was wonderfully directed. The fuck scene montage and the tv show are absolutely great. I wonder if the novel is any good.

To be truthful, not really. As for in the movie theaters I will say Gran Torino is a MUST SEE. Not to many movies out right now that I care to watch more than once. If I think of any, I'll tell ya!

top 5 movies for me... and i grew up and live like 5 blocks away from where the grandma's house is and coney island and all. cool stuff, great place... ummm.... the mom's story is in the book genius, read, sen. nothing was clouded, you could obviously tell it was about addictions in general, not just drugs the book is also way more graphic, racial, etc.
Harry girlfriend marion has to be the ugliest. I liked the movie as it is showing the fall of addiction. They didnt make it look fun. To many movies sugarcoat what it is really like to fuck for drugs etc. Brings me to the scene of marion with a double sided dildo linked to another female. Preety humiliating to imagine ive seen girls who would do the same thing. Makes me despise both men and women.
