I read a very interesting article the other week where they did a survey to see if there was a link between women who had prominent chins (and square jaws) and being promiscuous. Well according to their survey, they definitely is a strong link. Reason being that the male hormone testosterone causes the strong jaw, and this higher level of testosterone in women makes them have a larger sex drive. Like a guy. Guys try to sleep with as many women as possible, and girls are usually more restrained.
Why would it be limited to chins and jaws? If it's due to extra testosterone, then any woman who has any sort of "masculine" physical characteristic would also be promiscuous. Conversely, any woman with a strong sex drive should display the same "masculine" characteristics, since the sex drive is caused by testosterone. That doesn't sound right.
What other masculine physical characteristics show up in women besides the jaw? And it sounds right to me, higher levels of testosterone cause the jaw, higher levels of testosterone increase your sex drive, it goes hand in hand.
I don't think you read my entire post. If this is true, why don't all women with strong sex drives have prominent chins?
yeah i think i read that article.. it said women with square jaws are more prone to cheat.. . .coz of the sex drive, hormones etc .
well I don't have a square jawline and I'm super horny all the time. I wake my wife up in the middle of the night at least 3 times a week haha.
It's like the syllogisms in logic class. The strong jaw (according to the above) is due to male hormones; so is the higher sex drive. The strong jaw does not cause the sex drive, nor do the hormones necessarily cause a strong jaw. They're just both manifestations of the testosterone. A quick example: all Russians love beet soup. Stoshowik is a Russian; therefore Stoshowik loves beet soup. Michael, however, loves beet soup. Is Michael a Russian? We don't know. He may be, we can't say for sure. I hope that helps... ; )
It's like the syllogisms in logic class. Exactly. The fact that two things are "linked" statistically, does not mean that one of them causes the other. In order to show cause-and-effect, you have to do more than establish a one-way link. At the least, you have to show that there's a link in both directions. If this survey shows that women with square jaws have strong sex drives, that's a one-way link only and doesn't prove anything. There could be millions of women who have strong sex drives, but don't have a square jaw. In order to find some kind of cause-and-effect, you would also have to answer the reverse question ... does every woman with a strong sex drive have a square jaw? Otherwise, this survey doesn't really prove anything.
The article says women with a prominent chin are more likely to cheat, not: women with the chin will cheat, and women without it won't.
The survey means nothing, for the reasons I've already pointed out. I'll bow out of this discussion now.
true that, all it realy says is that woman with square jaws have higher levels of testosterone and that causes a higher sex drive, but honestly cheating seldoms has that much to do with needing sex
i wonder if this applies for women with more masculine other facial features as well. cough cough Amelie Mauresmo.
