Does marijuana actually increase chances of getting schizo by a significant amount?

I think not, but it can most likely trigger the latent schizo in a person.

Marijuana will enhance your mental issues sometimes. Only sometimes.

I have a friend who believes marijuana pushed her into paranoid schizophrenia. She had problems beforehand, but when she started smoking pot she said all hell broke loose for her.

pot does cause mental issues to come out.

i have had to quit smoking pot because i'm going straight off the deep end because of it.

its causing me to question everything in life, including myself. it causes me to stay in my head 24/7. instead of day dream.. its more like day reality for me now.

i can also induce a full blown trip off of some mid grade smoke after smoking for years. i can start to see geometric shapes and patterns that turn into shapes i have never seen.

i'm pretty sure its opened something that should have stayed closed.

so the answer is yes in my opinion.

pot can very well cause mental issues, including bring schizo up to your face to realize you have it.

People who are schizo, are born with it. It's through family genetics NOT weed.

it's well established now that cannabis + mental issues does not mix well. problem is that tons of people don't realize they have mental issues, due to our two favorite friends, crappy education and denial.
