How long does lorazepam (ativan) stay in the system, or detectable for drug testing?

Ok so I may have a drug test soon for a jobby job.....meaning I can't smoke any bud till that happens :(. Luckily I found that swim has some lorazepam (ativan) left from a while back :). But I'm still concerned whether this might be tested on a drug test and I couldn't find a lot of reliable info on this....neither from erowid or otherwise. Some say the benzo is gone from your system in a week....some say the half like is like 4 hours and thus leaves your system on the 5th or 6th half life cycle. Still others say the benzo or its metabolites can be detected for over 6 months.....that just sounds too long as I doubt it would stay in as long as weed.

So if I was to take say 3-5 mgs of lorazepam.....how long will it remain in my system before it is gone. For how long is it detectable? And do they usually test for lorazepam in drug tests?

Thanks to all in advance who read and reply. ;)

Thanks a lot for that, very helpful. Even if they don't check for benzos it would be best not to risk it.....and whoa I never knew they were fat soluble like THC. That certainly explains it, lol. And I suppose all benzos even lorazepam stays that long....darn.

benzos usually stay in ur system for 3-5 days

drug tests usually dont test for them though, but then again, idk what kind of test it is, but for a job usually not tested for, could be wrong though like i said idk what test it is.
