    hey all

so i have had dreads for 2 in 1/2 months and it seems like i have to look at the dread inspiration thread every other day. but overall i still love having a hairstyle that is diffrent and i like. so anyways my dreads seem to be getting dry, very dry, so dry im afraid they are going to break off:eek: . i spray sea salt in my hair and leave it in days at a time that might explain it but i was wondering what i could use on my hair to make it feel less dry,and is it to early to be doing that?

iunno if im mistaken, but leaving salt in for days is crazy? thats bound to not do any good, try not doing that for a start. now im going to let people who know more about herbs and stuff step in. that has been brought up alot though, maybe youd find something with search aswell

    zstop the sea salt!
dont do it daily do it weekly then rince out after 15 minutes
the purpose is to dry the hair..odvioskly its done that to an extrewme

    now on to conditioning

    eachhas its mnerit

    apple cidar vinagar rinces
smell funny a bit but sogften hair a ton
    aloe vera
    best stuff there is
    feeds the dreads and scalp
    rinces clean ez

    cocoa butter
    smells amazing and works well

jojoba oil vitamin e oil can be mixed with other oils
even olive oil to spread it further
heat it for extras help, then put in water mix well dump on and let stay in a good while

any natural conditioner can be used if used with care, not recomended toll mature dreads but its better then dreads on the floor

id go with no sea salyt, and aloe (left in a week
    )
then severely reduced sea salt and a tad bit of vitamin e or something added to your shampoo /rince
