pot pains

Sometimes when I'm smoking I get this really sharp stabbing pain in my side, right on my ribs. It's only when I smoke and it's happened enough times to bother me. Does anybody else have this problem or know what the cause could be. I just really hate when I'm having a great high that in interrupted by this annoyance. I have to stop smoking and go to sleep. The pain is enough to double me over and cause tears to come to my eyes. Please help me.

I thought about that, but it doesn't always happen. There's been times when I've smoked massive amounts, and nothing. Sometimes two hits and the pain is there. It's totally unpredictable. The only constant is that it's only when I smoke.

 

I used to get that kind of thing when I was physically active like in p.e. in middle school. They make us run around the gym and I would get the worst sharp pains in my side that made me shorten breaths or I would almost start to bawl. I think what it was for me is something with my heart. Or maybe lungs. Maybe it just fucks with your organs.

My suggestion is to ask your doctor about it, maybe he/she will have some idea as to what it could be.

 

When it's from working out it's a cramp. Not stretching enough or not breating right while you're doing it. Or from over exersion. I don't think that's my problem, since I'm sitting on the couch. I'm not so sure about saying anything to my doctor about smoking. I live in a small town and despite privacy laws people talk. Plus I work in a pharmacy where my boss talks to my doctor on a daily basis. It might come out.

 

First of I know it wasn't cramps when I was young, I had cramps and those were actually like I was being stabbed and I actually woke up at 2 am when I was like 10 and had to go to the emergency room because of it. And if your doctor did talk, you could sue his ass for a lot of money. Enough to buy a nice vaporizer and maybe that would work. Plus buy a house and a new car with all the money from the case that you would win.

 

The great thing about it though, how do you prove it? He says something to my boss and they decide to exersise their right to randomly drug test me and I lose my job. They don't have to say that their was a reason that they chose to drug test. Did you ever get tested to see if there was stuff getting stuck in your intestines? I can't remember the name of it, starts with a D, but things get stuck and irritate your intestines and can feel like stabbing. That's what I first thought it was, the first time I got it before I associated it with the pot. I had to go to the dr. and get a test. Turns out no for me, but that could be your problem.

^Then why haven't I gotten them in years? I know I'm out of shape now. I get sore legs when I'm riding my bike but thats just because I haven't ridden much since the snow fell.

Thats true, your have to bug the place and do all sorts of spy shit, I say go to a doc out of town. but I know its not the problem now since I don't get them anymore.

i get these as well, execept in the middle of my chest.

it literally does feel like someone is taking a knife and stabbing you in the chest dosen't it? thats how it feels for me.

it only hapens when i smoke weed as well. usually but not always, brought on by smoking a cigarette when im stoned.

but even though idont smoke cigs now when im high cause of it, its stilll there.

if you find out what it is, i'd really like to know. im concerned.

 

well actually, i have athought.

weed is supposed to speed your heart rate right? maybe its something i heard about called a heart murmor. its not a serious thing. basically fro mwhat ive heard and read its where a bunch of blood flow starts in your heart valves from a damaged or OVERWORKED heart valve.

maybe cause the weed is making our heart rate go up this happens?

 

would that effect my ribs. It's on my side under my arm about halfway down.

 

hmm. sometimes i get some discomfort in my back. it only happens when i think about it.....sounds like you might be having the same type of dealio. its probably all in your head. you get high, you start overthinking things, and all the sudden this pain pops up and your baked head amplifies and intensifies it. Its nothing to worry about if it only happens when your high. your heart is not where the pain is so i would probably rule that out

 

Same exact thing used to happen to me like 2 years ago. My best suggestion is to make sure you're not swallowing any smoke when you inhale. I'm not sure if thats what causes it, but who knows.

 

i really dont know, my friend said he gets them down in his left side close to his ribs are to.

i get them them in the middle of chest chest over my windpipe.

feels brused or ripped in a way honestly.

i dont know what it is, the heart thing was just a thought. i doubht it.


my thoughts are

sense were more sensitive to sound touch tase sight whatever, our senses are enhanced iguess you could so. stuff that feels good feels more good right? well why wouldn't it be the same for pain, its just intensified cause were baked.

after it happens i usually stop smoking cigarettes(if i was smoking when it did), first thing get a cool glass of water(always do that cause of dry mouth/throat), and maybe a piece of gum, and some tylenol.

it helps. but after i stop concentrating on it it goes away after a while.

but, my lung still hurts in that area when im not high, like tkhere is a holey ripped feeling there. its weird.

do you experience that???

 

is it sore to the touch , or when you move one way or another . or is it still sore if you don't move or not and when does it go away .
can you go to doctor in another town

P.S. I don't think it's the cannabis , but it might be just the smoke that is causing the problem . so tell the doctor that it happens when you smoke pipe tobacco or cigar
