I agree^^there is no point on deleting old posts. Their done. I don't think it should change too much thoughI like it here. I just want it to be a bit more of an open minded forum.

he was here for 3 days and all hell broke loose
he left and things got peaceful again till your boyfreind tried to stir things up again

my hunny might have a rather rough way of saying things. he doesnt care about your feelings and he didnt see any point in being less than blunt.
im certainly not going to apologize for him, in fact i was right there reading what he posted and i wholeheartedly agree with everything he said.
he does have fantastic dreads and zero negative effects from using wax.

you certainly dont seem to have a problem slinging personal attacks (and thinly veiled insults) at anyone who uses or speaks out for wax, or any other "non-natural" method of dreading.

you, soaring eagle have been the one inciting and maintaining most of the drama ive seen around here b/c you are intolerant of any method not endorsed by yourself.
plus, ive seen maybe 3 posts that could be construed as personal attacks that did NOT come from you.

in case you diidnt notice i made only 1 reply..with a touch of sarcasm i admit, but it was just to the ingredients in lock peppa (which pretty much is expensive dirt)

i have not ever been in a fight (physical fight) since i was maybe 14
the only times id get involved was to deffend a freind in trouble then id take a hit or 2 and step out
ive had my head stomped by skinheads and bikers a few times but wouldnt throw a punch out of fear of hurting someone
but if im verbaly attacked i will stand up for myself..ofcourse i try hard to find a peaceful resolution when possibler and when not i ask to be left alone
but if im being stabbed in the back while trying to walk away what do u expect me to do?

we had peace here for just 1 day when your boyfreind decided to jump on in and destroy that peace

abd i am more likely to deffend my freindfs then myself so when the peacefullness of the community is disturbed i will try to set things straight and end the bullshit

and im glad ozzy is willing to delete all attempts to get fights started
its the quickest way to end a fight
and if you really must have your lil fight for whatever reason..do it in private..period
theres no reason for it to mess up the site

roanokes on the chesapeak right? used to sail there all the time, its quite a quant picturesque town..always seemed to be full of colorful charachters

always seemed like a perfect place for a steven king novel..lol

Naaa SE...Roanoke is south western Va , in the mountains. I am about -4 hours south of the chesapeake. I have friends there though, it is a beautiful place. My maiden name is Willoughby, so I always thought Willoughbys Spit was named after my family when I was little, NOT.
The only novel that could be written around here is maybe Deliverance II
The Waltons was filmed somewhere around here if that helps...oh and Dirty Dancing, which sadly that lake (man made) is now dried up and the resort has gone under.

 

First, as some of you have mentioned, Deleting old threads wont happen, never was. I was planning on gathering the information posted in past, that seems to be lost and giving it new life by creating a new thread and making it sticky so that no one has to search the 1000+ threads to find something. As mentioned, the search function sux. Remember this project is in planning and your input is going to help structure it, or knock it on the head. lol. I also agree with the post about too many stickies being annoying. this project could combine a few of the current stickies, thus creating less stickies.

I would also like to point out that using stickies is the best alternative to making sub forums that would make searching the forums even more annoying.

Now, onto the "free speach" topic. This IS a free speach forum and "free speach" will not be hindered. BUT, Abuse can not be left in the same class as "free speach" or it will be the undoing of the forum. e.g:

free speach:"If you say... ....then every one would do it regardles of how dumb it is"

Personal attack/Abuse: "Suck my dick"

Am i the only one that sees the difference?

i do think the idea needs refinning and come up with the clearest solutions

maybe if we just had a "methods" sticky with discussion of varois methods
we already got a maintanance and deep cleanse wax removal stickly wich can be expanded and renames to include product and soap discussions (rename to, keeping dreads clean and wax free? maybe?)
so then the only other thread wed need would be tams headgear beads and accessories
(unless anyone thinks we should have more?)
so perhaps the dreadlock truth can be expanded to include all methods (or unsticky it in exchange for a methods sticky)
the wax threasd changesd to be all things clean
the maintanance is fine as is
then add a accessories and we are good
if we do it that way we only add 1 sticky
and swap or expand a couple others

 

Oh, and "N0ob" threads will not be deleted, just point them in the right direction.

Well I'll put my two cents in. First thanks SE for helpin' me with my questions
Second glad to see you get mod status Ozzy, don't really know you but from your posts an' such you seem like hell of a choice.
And third. I noticed down in the Philopsophy and Religion area that the pagan threads are all like spread out. Such as there's something like a book of wicca that could be moved up into the regular pagan thread and several others. Same imo with the sanctuary area that is a hangout for christians i think it could be added to the basic christian part to save some space. Just some suggestions. Keep up the good work guys
