Looking for advice on getting a card (California)

Hello, I want to get medical marijuana for my chronic anxiety problems but I'm not sure how I could ever ask a regular doctor about it. So I've been looking for an open minded doctor in the area online that could help me out. I found this site that services southern california:

Does anyone have experience with this site or know if it is legit?

Also how much should I expect to pay for a doctor's appointment for something like this?

I think I am going to try and go through with it, they called me within 2 hours after I put in a request for more info and it says they have an office about 15 miles from me.

i'm just worried about it, is all I need is a doctor's reccomendation from them to get my medicine? Or does it still have to be approved by the state?

Yup. Apparently with the laws that have passed anyone can get one in california. Just have or claim to have something on the long list of ailments, especially the ones they can't easily daignose. I chose Insomnia (which I actually do have) and paid $100 for my doctor's visit and that was that.

 

are you for real? damn. i should check that out, lol. of course we all have insomnia. we can't sleep without pot.

 

also know a good doctor..or know how to use a search engine..

 

I've had insomnia since before I smoked weed, now all I need to do is get a doctor, CO has medical :drool5:

Hey, RandomOne I have a question. When you went to the doctor what did you say? It surely cant be as easy as "Hey i have insomnia (or anxiety) can i get marijuana "

 

Well, there are doctors out there that are known as marijuana friendly prescribers. He knew what i was there for cause other people were there for the same thing

We had a chat about insomnia and anxiety and other cures for them, and he gave me some really good advice, but also said it's fine to use pot just use it in moderation and be very careful. ...GL as i said it will take a bit of searching to find the right doctor, but they can be found online.

 

Yeah, I've always thought w/ my luck I would go 2 a doctor to try & get medical marijuana for anxiety or insomnia & he would end up prescribing me some 'normal' pills. I had always wondered how you bring up in the conversation that you want to be given medicinal marijuana.

Yeah, soon after I posted this I found a list of Cali doctors that recommend medical marijuana (unfortunately I don't live there-yet).

say that you don't like taking pills. too many crazy side effects with that stuff... if he/she doesnt say it first, just come out with it. tell them you have a friend that had some kind of ailment and they used medicinal herb and it worked for them...
