stick in a bit of beatles as well. almost any song from "sgt. peppers" will do. also, "tangerine sky" by kottonmouth kings is nice. "say goodbye, say goodbye to a tangerine sky, say hello, say hello to tommorow. when you say goodbye to a tangerine sky, you lose your pain, lose your fears, lose your sorrow."
John Legend - Ordinary People (not really trippy, but the piano sounds AMAZING when fried) Coldplay - Viva La Vida Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows Incubus - Quicksand Wicked (The Musical) - Defying Gravity - This song has a great climax for when you're peaking. And of course the aforementioned Hendrix and Pink Floyd are must-haves.
i think my favorite part of that album is when youre tripping to it enmeshed in the fractal carnal singularity of blinding being I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like . . . WHAM, back to reality motherfucker, still dripping with ectoplasm
Never really post but I lurk a lot when bored. My personal opinion is that anything related to jam bands/The Dead/Phish/the festival scene is where it's at. Phish is great while spun as well as the Dead, but also newer bands like Sound Tribe Sector 9(a personal favorite), String Cheese Incident(R.I.P), Yonder Mountain String Band, etc. I'm not sure if links are discouraged here so tell me and I will remove it, but check this STS9(Sound Tribe) video and tell me it's not LSD bliss! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8khPN1EEBQ Check out more if you like them, great music even sober, they have all kinds of sounds so check out their other songs, a lot are far different from each other.
Well that SUCKS. Come on guys, Pink Floyd, The Doors, mother fucking Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane come on come on THE FUCKING GRATEFUL DEAD. The dudes who trip know how to make music to trip to. Especially the Piper jesus christ they sure know how to make acid music. Wow. And the best part is they were all like 19 fucking years old when they made that album. Syd wrote those songs when he was just a teenager. Brilliance.
Haha I know its coming but Im never thinking about it, then scarecrow ends and its like BOOM almost shit my pants.
i guess its all preference and what mood you want to be in at the moment.. but my list goes from tool, pink floyd. the entire album of Electric Tears by Buckethead, which is simply amazing.. 311, SOAD, and carl sanders.. .. alot of these artist drive my hand as i am drawing and inspire my ideas.. music is sooo effing powerful on cid
I'd also like to add Jefferson Airplane ~ White Rabbit This song cracks me up so much when I'm trippin, lol
the number one song that has gotten me lost and found all in the same song is by a band called CAPSULA and their song "Gates to Haven" off of the album "Synthesis of Reality." They have several albums, but I am only in LOVE with this one. If you have ever tripped acid, listening to "Gates of Heaven" is a MUST And since there is only one place I know to hear it online I will link you guys, please listen. If you listen to it for the firt time while tripping like I was luckily enough to please lay downa nd close your eyes and drift! http://www.last.fm/music/Capsula/_/Gates+of+Heaven (it is a 10 min song sometiimes it may pause to load, but listen to the whole thing) I agree with prOne I love Piper at the Gates of Dawn by The Pink Floyd! If I had to pick a few songs off that album I think I might say "Pow R. Toc H." and "Intrastellar Overdrive (French edit)" As far as Jefferson Airplane is concerned I love "Embyronic Journey" I wish it was a lot longer (a modern jam band should do that) Now I am gonna say artists like Shpongle "A new way to say Hooray" / Aphex Twin (artist) As a huge Incubus fan I'd say their entire "Fungus Amongus" album which was heavily influenced by shrooms is amazing on psychelics. But also "Azwethinkweiz" off the album "Enjoy Incubus is a trppy as fuck song if you can comprehend lyrics while tripping. Otherwise "Calgone" and "Deep Inside" off of the "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." album. And finally "Aqueous transmission" off the "Morning View" album. I love scaring myself on lucy...so I love the Beatles song "A Day in the Life" but it can get really intense!
alright, you guys picked some pretty good tunes, but the best way to go... is watch fantasia... the Disney movie crazy shit.. it makes me nuts watching it sober. im telling you i dont what song you play that movie will top it. a few more movies i liked while tripping where a clockwork orange.. intense, insane, brutal... and alice in wonderland... bizarre, crazy, intriguing
I'd have to go with Juno Reactor.. all their stuff is awesome, but real highlights are Navras, High Energy Protons, Zwara and God is God. Juno Reactor + acid always = a good time
i'd say GO SEE LIVE MUSIC. if you are just chillin' in a room with friends, you will feel what music you need, but that will change with every moment, because it all depends on the mood of the time/space. i don't know i thing it's really lame and trivial to classify music in the way of this sort. fucking whatever what do i know, ha, just be real with it and don't be a bitch and do that song surfing thing to music on youtube that everybody does, fuck man, like "oh man, check out this song it is so trippy; and then next person changes the song and tries to one-up the last." like yeah basically fuck you for killing music, ffuck. fuck you. the concept of music as a commodity, uggggg. you are all fucking robots, programed to self destruct. how do you like that?? "goes to youtube to fap it hard watching crystal method "name of the game"' duuuuuude check this one out !https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yUJdHQE9yA!!!!!
Saw them live last year. Everyone was expecting it to be the highlight of the festival... But they were shit. And most of us were on acid. lol. Their recorded tracks are amazing though.
