and I can't imagine it being pronounced any other way..

Then again, you've got your own spin on 'oregano' over the water, so I guess anything's possible.

I alternate. I thought that was an American thing. And that the British were more consistent. But I don't remember with which pronounciation.

WRONG! I just have this pet hate about the way people pronounce some things. Same goes for herb, it's 'herb', not 'erb'.

 

I'm with the 'exactly as it's spelled' group of thinking here, so I settled for the first response as closest to that. I'm hungry now.
