A Gun is NOT a Backscratcher

Most of us probably already knew that, but a Ft. Worth man learned this lesson the hard way. The Dallas Morning News has immortalized the antics of 44-year-old Jorge Espinal, who was drinking and playing cards at 3 a.m. Sunday. (How’d I know alcohol was involved?)
Espinal told police he had an itch on his back and to scratch it he grabbed the first thing he could find, a revolver. Do I need to tell you the gun went off and he accidentally shot himself? His buddies (no doubt also drunk) didn’t believe his story until they saw the blood coming down his back. In their defense, it is pretty hard to believe anyone could be this stupid.
Espinal went to the hospital where they treated him for non life-threatening injuries. No word on whether anyone checked for brain activity.
