Bizarre weapons? The Stupid Gun!

Hey all,

New here..and into many alternative ideas..and LSD and Trippin one of em!!

Being imaginative, I always though that Acid would be an amazing weapon to use on someone..not sure if thread like this has been started?

Anyway this story really captivated me years ago as a kid when I read this sci-fi comic..Judge Dredd.. The 22nd ctry NYC cop..so a weird n wonderful hi-tech city he lived in!

This story was called 'The Stupid Gun!'..it was about 2 ruthless crims who steal a ray gun that could completely wipe clean a persons brain..reducing them into the mental age of a baby..happy, drooling, real GOO-GOO stuff!

So perfect for crime..no witness..only those than can smile and utter 'Duuuhhh!'...but even at that age reading it I thought 'wow' perfect to dominate and humilate someone as well...ie reducing a once normal persons IQ to that of a mindless idiot!..So much fun haha!

In one scene the wonderful crims decide to 'stupe' an entire futuristic Monorail train full of passengers....can you imagine dozens and dozens of mindless men, women and kids all crawling and clambering around..obliviously happy to thier previous identity!

The idea of bizarre n weird weapons..that dont kill ppl..but 'screw' their minds amazes me!

What effect would spraying someone with LSD.. a very potent liquid form..or a crowd of ppl have?


So would you want a Stupid Gun or be on it's receiving end lol?

lsd doesn't reduce common sense and ability to that of a mindless idiot....you're obviously a mindless idiot before you take the lsd if those are the effects you're getting.....

I don't think your weapon would have the effect on people that you're thinkin it would...

Yep am certainly aware that LSD will not have the same effects as The Stupid Gun..if it existed..ie this is all Sci-Fi and fantasy etc!

The angle that I'm after would be soemthing I'd llike to see in a film/TV or story/idea etc..of a similar weapon or device...ie a Stupid Gun would probably be impossible to invent!

However say LSD was sprayed from the air or onto ppl...would it work?

If you could incorporate that into a story line then it would be interesting..such as the 'knockout' agent on James Bond (Goldfinger)

Obviously the perpetrators utilising this weapon would have to be sealed tight with Bio/Chem suits and gasmasks etc...rubber gloves..so it would add a wonderfully sinister element to the plot!

 

It might work, however all that would happen is people would get high on LSD for a few hours and then be sober again.

And you'd be surprised how capable of action someone very high on LSD is.

 

they did tests on this on soldiers to see the potential as a weapon. the videos are quite funny too. and as a war weapon it could work since it can create mass confusion in users who didnt know they took it. but it would be hard to dose an enemy soldier lol. it created confusion in the ranks so they squad leader wouldnt give the correct orders so the squad would fall apart.

 

yeah they used to do all sorts of testing on prisoners and other like people at a place called the narcotic farm in the states....there's a deadly documentary on it, check it out sometime if you can

Mmmm yes the MK Ultra and other CIA programmes..very interesting lol!

Think the sinister elements of the military have considered using hallucinogenic weapons or devices for decades..but its a double edged weapon..as it can be unpredictable and have effects on your own troops also!

Dousing enemy soldiers with it would still not prevent them from firing their own weapons etc..allbeit at everyone including each other!

But to use on a non armed population..such as a normal populace may work better!

My idea for a plot in a story would be for a bank or gem stores fire sprinkler water system to be replaced with LSD lol!

Our fun lovin crims could activate it and then when the yummy liquid takes effect..and all the banks staff and customers are tripping, giggling and totaly incapable of defending themselves..they can go to work!

Obviously the perps would have to wear chem suits..but you can wear waterproof or latex/diving suits under normal clothing...rubber gloves in pocket and pull out gasmask and there ya go!

Would the liquid acid work immediately?

Any 'problem' victims could be easily subdued frther with a cattle prod or stun gun!

Cops would be left with a bank fulla mind numbingly tripping witnesses!

Good idea for a film/book?

 

jesus christ, not every sentence has to end in an exclamation point or question mark.

 

i guarrantee 99% of soldiers given acid would drop their weapons and hug trees or look in each others eyes in amazement.

20 minutes to 3 hours for peak effects.

 

Perfect then!

If all those customers and staff at a bank just sat down and smiled..hugging each other..so easy to take the loot!

They would actually be able to help you as you could just ask em nicely to hand it over...ask the cashiers to kindly open the safe etc...

Mmm I thought the effects would have been a lot quicker..as high dosage straight onto the skin?

 

eh, they'd probably just freak the fuck out drop their weapons and run haha... think of tripping on acid in the middle of a battle! holy shit, you'd have a heart attack knowing theres people trying to KILL you

I would have the opposite reaction

I would realize these were my last few moments alive

and in the zen, ego-less unity of being i have on acid

i would slaughter legion

and die screaming and fighting and covered in blood

like the vikings

this is something i would wish to experience

A more effective weapon would be some way to at a distance dose somebody with MDMA. They'd almost certainly stop fighting. Maybe as riot control? If they started this I would start rioting immediately.

That is without a doubt the stupidest idea i've ever heard regarding LSD in my entire life, and i mean that quite literally.

 

supersoaker full of liquid lsd = crazy gun, not stupid gun!
