The topic says it all, who is ur favorite metal band? All metal applies.

Some of mine are BFMV, Job For A Cowboy, Suicide Silence, Hate Eternal, just to name a few.

Of course I'm into the screaming and growling vocals.

I admit, I'm a late bloomer- my fiance just got me into metal, and I am HOOKED.
my fave. is Iron Maiden (funny, I always used to hate them until I REALLY listened to the music and lyrics).
Then Megadeth and.....uh, is System of a Down considered metal? King Diamond rocks, and so does Mercyful Fate.

Depends on my mood, but some of my favourites are classic stuff like Iron Maiden, Diamond Head, Pentagram, Saxon, and bands like Rainbow, Uriah Heep and early Sabbath if you call that metal. Other metal that I really appreciate is folk, doom and black stuff like Summoning, Satyricon, Falkenbach, Sleep, Candlemass, Reverend Bizarre etc.
King Diamond's stuff is awesome as well :cheers2:

I agree -- those are clearly hard rock from the riff structure.

Deep Purple can be considered proto-metal, but other than that not really. I'd put them in the same boat as Black Sabbath. But as for my favorites, as of now it has to be Skeletonwitch, Amon Amarth, Obituary, Origin, Marduk, Dekapitator, and a bunch more. The list goes on and on and on.
