It wouldn't if the global economic apocalypse comes, we might not have giant super markets anymore, but even being dirt poor, we'd still be that much richer then everyone else who falls to beyond dirt poor. And unlike other smaller western countries we have more then enough fertile land, current production and possible production to more then keep our country from starving.

The United States as a whole produces vasts amounts of food, but few states are self-sustaining.

It is a very fragile distribution system, and yeah, you should worry about food. And fuel to cook it. How big a stockpile you have is up to you. 3 days isn't enough in my opinion. I have 1 month + and find myself thinking I am underestimating how bad things might get.

No one knows how this will play out. I do know this, if everyone did have 1 month stocked away, whatever hits we take wouldn't bring on panic.

 

Can you eat Kudzu? I found some really old Kudzu seed my grandma had when she died, but haven't been willing to grow it, because of what it's done in the south. It's only 30 years old, maybe I should check and see if it's viable.

 

There is zero chance of mass starvation. I'm doing nothing to prepare for it.

Why does it matter what Rat does? Isn't it what you do as individual to provide for your unit to survive what's important? Oe are we voting out failures like reality shows? And what is a failure?

 

maybe i exaggerate - i do have a few cases of 2005 bordeaux aging in a cave in france. i hope the apocalypse doesn't come too soon, it won't be at its prime until about 2015.
