Has anyone seen this crock of bullshit? I mean, I understand that people with some sort of psychosis get more psychotic than normal when they smoke weed, but this show makes it look like it's all marijuana's fault. They also claim that marijuana wastes lives, and show some poor loser who's been sitting alone in his house for 5 days out of the week for the past 18 years and all he does is smoke weed profusely. I have a feeling that whether this guy was smoking weed or not he'd still be doing the same thing. This show actually pissed me off quite badly just seeing how much they bash weed. You can catch it for a short time in HD on Youtube by searching for "Horizon : Cannabis - The Evil Weed Part#"... but Part 2 IS missing.
watched it an enjoyed it. that 1 guy looked so depressed an pathetic though, he just blazed all day and didn't have control of himself. Some other guy had people talk to him, that's never happened to me or my friends. Lol at the doc who prescribed cannabis for writers block. Pretty good and objective, though i still feel nothing was acomplished for our movement and doubt if it ever will be. That 1 pathetic guy rly made me wanna take a break, i don't wanna be like that guy. Legalize it. Peace interesting stuff about the origins of our cannibinoid recepters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgypNe6CS_I part1 worlds fav drug
I watched it also and that one pathetic guy was annoying. He should kill himself if he thinks he can't live without weed.
I'm watching this, and I see a major flaw in the way they conducted that rat test on the relationship between cannabis and heroin. They found that rats exposed to thc took twice as many doses of heroin at will than the rats that were not exposed to thc. well... they were orally ingesting the heroin, and rats not knowing what the hell is going on, are going to feel much more hungry than the sober one and eat more of the only substance it has available to him. As in doesn't prove the gate-way drug theory.
They were not orally ingesting the heroin, watch that clip again. The rats are pressing a lever with their mouth which causes them to get an injection of heroin. That's why they have that apparatus strapped to their back. Heroin has very low oral bioavailability. I actually liked this documentary a lot, it was very even-handed, in that they show good sides and bad sides. I also learned a lot of stuff I didn't know beforehand, like the origin and nature of our cannabinoid receptors. Too bad he ruined it with the very last sentence.
