That diet is so full of shit, blood type has nothing to do with what kind of diet you follow.... crazy.
it makes sence that it does affect it. but it takes alot of discipline to follow it cuz it's so restrictive. i don't have any links but i'll sit down sometime soon and type out the diet for type 0 cuz that's what i am and i have it photocopied
I'm type O, as well... I could not believe what that book wanted me to eat... I'm a borderline vegetarian, as it is.... There's no way I could eat like that... LOL
yeah same here!!!! i just stay away from the main things it says are the worst for type o. dairy and grain. but even that is hard as hell
Type O Menu Breakfast 2 slices toasted Ezekiel bread with butter6 ounces vegetable juice, Banana, Herbal tea Lunch Organic Roast Beef, 6 ounces, Spinach Salad, Apple or pineapple slices, Water Afternoon snack 1 slice of cake Herbal tea Dinner Lamb and asparagus stew, Steamed broccoli, Sweet potato. Mixed fresh fruit, Herbal tea, (beer or wine allowed)
Hmm... Did they revise that book? When I read it, oh about 10 years ago, or more, they said for type Os to pretty much eat the Atkins way (besides the vegetables). No fruit, no grains, no raw (or was it no cooked?) vegetables, no starches, mostly red meat (no fish)... Basically, we are the oldest blood type, so therefore we are supposed to eat the way the earliest cavemen ate... I thought it was pretty crazy. I really don't like red meat, very well. And I love grains. It was like exactly the opposite of how I really eat... LOL
Also, if you're looking for a good way of eating, that is healthy and not terribly difficult.... Check out the book "Sugar Busters". I've known diabetics that have been able to get off medication, following the advice in that book. And it doesn't have the ill health effects that Atkins can have with some people. The authors recognize that there are "good carbs" and "bad carbs", just like fats. You are allowed to eat the good carbs (whole grains, etc.) and you cut out your intake of bad carbs (white foods).
it really makes sense, but at the same time, its probably just a crock o' shit get-rich-quick new diet to sell...... i read the book "eat right for your type" but it says that since i'm o blood, i should eat lots of meat, and thats no way for me, because i'm veggie.. so.. thats my story. lol.. oh and i do know a chick and she lost 20 lbs in a month and a half following that.
I can't follow my blood type diet..it's based on stuff I'm allergic to. If I ate like my blood type I'd be dead.
i only just found out my blood type when the dr. suggested the diet. but man i can't see myself following the diet.
I can't stand it, it sais that I should eat meat, I lost weight after not eating meat anymore instead.. : / It sounds logical for SOME people though, who haven't had as much twists and turns as in my family.... In Japan blood types tell one their personality, always quite accurate by me. They even ask about each other's blood type if they don't know each other's as well!!!
