I have lead a life short on love. From a very young age I eliminated the notion from my life due to the untimely death of my mother when I was 6. It has given me a unique perspective on how our actions change those around us, and how it *all* circulates around love. Love is what drives us! We do not "like" ANYTHING! There is no seperation between like and love, not if your heart is full of love! Love is not dim, it is vibrant! I'll not elongate this unnecessarily by how I have formed my current ideals, I will only say that I finally had the opportunity to understand love... I had the opportunity to be familiar with it, realize what it was, and realize what I was missing... With the loss of said love, I realized what it was to be heartbroken all over again.... and now... I have realised what the notion of true love truly means... True love is the love of all things, no matter what they are. True love is the understanding that things are the way they are, and we may only do what we may do within limits.. but we ourselves have no limits! Love is limitless, fear is an absolute limit. So the opposite of love is not hate, the opposite of love is fear. It explains alot... I am glad to understand it, and gladly await my chosen fate -mark
I would summarise this quote as love is acceptance. I also agree that the opposite of love is fear, since fear stems from denial and denial and acceptance are opposites. Whats interesting is that I only realized this after the death of my mum too, I havent experienced true love though
