WTF do i do!

ok so i have a friend that up to this point I just saw him as a friend but now i have this major crush on him and i dont know what to do!
he's "straight" but a big part of me says he's not.
he does lots of things towards me that tell me otherwise..
for ex. he talks to me differently than to the others in our social circle.
we always bag on eachother alot..very tough jokes!!!
lets put it this way:some ppl that try to enter our circle cant hang.lol
but i noticed he hardly bags on me and when he talks to me he's all sweet and looks at me a certain way i have never seen him look at the others.
but what really got me into him[lol] was because
this past thursday night one of my our friends threw a little Bday party.
he got drunk and every now and then he would come up to me and tell me things like "are u cold? ill get you hot..haha!" supposely messing around.
then like anyone who gets wasted, he began getting all emotional towards everyone...
then he came up to me and told me alot of things that happened to him and would hold my hand and told me how he thought i was a bitch when he first started to hang out with us lol
i usually nvr fall for guys i know or sense they are straight..
but this one has me very confused.
fuck i dnt know what to do! i hate being in situations like this.
i have thought about trying to talk to him straight out about it but if it turns out he is completely "straight" then i know it will be akwards afterwards and prob lose him as a friend..
idk what else to do about it...and trying to get over him is very hard since i see him like all the time!
i would really appreciate any kind of advice and what you guys would do.

Update: this happened the night of the superbowl.On Aim.

ok so i was on aim and i didnt know he had one until my friend told me.so i added him.this is how the conversation went..[let me know what u guys think]
he didnt know it was me so i was playing with him at first.

him:who
me:its [my name] foo, this is my aim
him:[he put a happy face]
me:i havent seen you since that night lol wat are u doing?

....then my parents had to ruin it damn!!LOl
they asked me put my laptop away cause i had school today.

i dnt know what to think of that short conversation..but he made my night lol

Update:This was the day before Valentines.

yesterday we went to a party and i rode with him in his car.
he had his windows down so i was fckn freezing! he saw and he was like
"you cold?" and touched my leg at the same time. and afterwards we all went to eat at a jack in the box and i noticed how he kept staring at me.
oh! and after that we were hanging out infront of wher i live...at one point he noticed i was leaning on one of my other friend's and then he started being a dick to him!
oh and today we were hanging out again and once again, nonstop staring.

First off, are you out to your friends? If they know you are gay, maybe he is indirectly hitting on you because he is curious.

Or, it could be a simple miscommunication.

I put tell him outright - pretty much running down what you wrote here.

But, be warned, it could scare him away. I once expressed my true feelings to my best friend in high school (years later when we were both in our 20s) Never heard from him again.

well I don't believe that "I miss you" is something that straight guys tell to each other. Sounds pretty much like a hint!

 

same as i was thinking 'not sad'...most strait guys i know dont say shitt like that. try and talk to him again and try and feel him out, find out wuts goin on.

im currently in a similar situation, only ive known her for 3 years and she is so outgoing and crazy i can not tell for my life what she means by the things she says..plus chix r a lil more touchy feely...but i totally get what ur saying and how you feel

i can say that 3 or 4 times ive had girls say 'i used to have such a crush on you' and it pissed me off cause i am not too bright ...i was oblivious..let it slip in a social situation with a cute laugh then if he pulls you aside later and says 'i'm gay' you can laugh again and say you were jokin...hey maybe if one of those girls hadda spoken up i wouldnt be sittin at home alone on v-day..
