Can anyone give me more information about Warren Wilson College? I'm applying next year and from what I've seen it looks so awesome and unique.

I have only been through there a couple times. It is nestled pretty neatly in the mountains there and seems like a great place.

have you checked out their website maybe you could contact some folks there and arrange a tour...

Seeing your post made me look to see if there are any job openings there that I would fit in.

its a great campus but I didn't like a lot of the students attitudes and the 30k+a year for tuition.

one of my good friends goes there and loves it. yes it is a lot of money but she says they provide a lot too. she received a really good opportunity to study abroad and only had to pay a small sum of money.

it is in the mountains. it is a "work-learning" college so you do have to work (i think) while in school. this may or may not contribute to the tuition. i am not quite sure. their website probably has that info.

other then that of course there will be people that you dont like and people that you do. that goes for any college.

WWC is the most liberal college is the country. You have to work at least 15 hours a week, but you get to choose what you do. The only real staff members are the teachers. That meaning that students make up the cafeteria staff, maintenance, campus security, etc. It's also in Asheville. You figure it out.

I'm planning on going there once I get my Associate's degree. It's kinda my first choice, unless a tour changes my mind.

I went to Warren=Wilson for 3 years and enjoyed every minute! If you decide to go to a college for higher ed I would atleast apply, maybe visit. I applied to 12 colleges, got into all and warren wilson was the only one i didn't visit, and I went their with much unknown. It was a big risk and it became heaven. Nearly 95% smoke weekly, everyone loves drinkin and smokin there. Around 900people now. Everyone must work if you live on campus, 15 hrs a week, easy work, pick a crew and it becomes part of your campus ego, such a great place to meet like minded individuals!
If you want a school to change your life this school is it!
    ...couple neato facts
the years i was their the entire girls soccer team had dreads
1,000's of great smoke spots and people
the work is taken out of your tuition, only ads up to 3,000 or so however
    great instructors!
voted #1 pot smoking school in 2008, they embraced it
is located on a great piece of land! Suicide ridge is behind the school and the campus is ginourmous! About half mile to three quarts just in buildings, but the woods and property is huge! Lotsa fields and woods. Dogwood woot woot!
if anyone has any questions feel free to e-mail me! or private message me

As a guy who flunked out of his first college attempt because of drinking and smoking, please make sure that you will be ok if you go to the school that was voted the #1 pot smoking school in the nation. At 18, moderation is tough to learn. Hell, I haven't learned it at 29.

    Yes moderation,
I found it difficult as well. Now not a problem. I will tell you though that if their is a place to learn moderation while attending college I would recommend wilson. Most of your day is obligations to work, classes, or homework. If you do all three their is only some fun time late late at night. The school makes it difficult to get off task too much, your bosses will realize whats going on, or your teachers as most classes are small less than 18. Not to mention that you must commplete a requirement of i think 125 hrs of community service in your 4 years. So usually this means every couple months you go to do community service. Also their is so much to do in Asheville buncombe county area, kayaking, plays, rock climbing in the same valley, running, primitives skills groups, sports, work, service, school. It's a great high vibrational place, I wouldn't let the oppurtunity pass you by. :cheers2:
