Is part of the Hindu Patheon, why don't you post all post to do with Krishna on the Hinduism tread, if not why don't you get your own Krishna forum.

    Blessings

Krishna is omnipresent and so we post about Him everywhere. With all His rasa lila activities, we could even post about Him in the love/sex forum.

I have the feeling the point of the subforums is lying defeated somewhere.

    If Krisna is omnipresent eveywhere,

There is no need to post him anywhere.

I think sebbi has a point. Why force our beliefs on others? One of my main problems with christianity in its present form is that theyre always out to push their religion at people, to proselytise people. I am just much more comfortable practising my religion in the privacy of my own home, or with others who are interested. I wouldnt want others to force their religions on me, so I dont think I ought to force my religion on others.

    Point taken.

I apologise to anyone I may have angered or discomfited by posting in the main forum.

Also, I think by pestering others with Krishnaspeak a lot of Hare Krishnas harm their own cause, people get the idea that it is stupid or strange or something and distance themselves from it a little bit and that is the worst disservice you could do to that person.

You say this in response to a person saying Krishna is omnipresent. So clearly I can see him with my material eyes, in the form of all the forms around me. Boom! I win.

But is simply posting a thread here about Krishna forcing our belief on others?
I can't see it, as they're free to read it or not.
Also, although I personally think this is a moot point, many believe that Krishna is beyond 'Hinduism' - in fact, the term is rejected as a creation of western scholars etc.
I don't think any apology is really needed here - if people are angered simply by seeing that these threads exist, by reference to Krishna - or come to that, to any other Divine form, then they clearly have a problem.

Not that I detect anger in Sebbi's original post.

But I'd just like to ask - if it's 'wrong' to post about Krishna in a philosophy and religion forum, what would be acceptable?
IMHO although philosophy and religion can be connected, they are not neccesarily - there are many purely secular philosophers. Perhaps a seperate philosophy forum might be the answer?

But actually, Sebbi, you yourself seem to have begun yet another Krishna thread here!

haha!! This reminds me of a story Gurudev used to tell.

There was a man who was a very staunch atheist. All over his office would put up signs saying "God is nowhere!" One day his little son, who was just learning to read, came to the office with his mommy and started to read the sign.
    "g...o...d...God!"
    "i...s...is!"
    "n...o...w...now!"
    "h...e...r...e...here!!!'

The man was amazed...For even in the very sign that he had put up saying God is nowhere, it said god is now here.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not angered about it nor is it "wrong" to post them here. I just don't understand why we have like 6 threads on Krishna here in the general area when there is a Hinduism forum. You can say Krishna goes beyond Hinduism, but it is a Hindu idea and that's what it's associated with. I for one come to the general area to find general threads on philosophy, rather than to discuss specific religions.

No one is forcing ideas on anyone, but what's wrong with the Hinduism forum for these threads?

Or a Krishna specific forum. However, it is Krishna's intent to be displayed in the public part of the forum (now), so therefore God is. The Family Guy episode (last night) has someone thanking Jesus for something, Jesus saying "umm, guys, it wasn't me', Krishna saying "It's all right, I get that all the time".

Not by being forced, but by love you can understand Krishna.

    therefore chant:
