Ahhh Eugene, I just moved back after staying in Philly for a while....Not really a fan of cities in general, but I must admit in comparison to most others in the states Eugene is very chill. Jah bless the valley!

I think I passed through on the way to Newport from CD'A but I'm not sure, its been about 4 years. I remember going along the gorge past Biggs? and Rufus, and Portland... I actually saw a teacher on her way to Portland when we were on our way back from the coast, crazy teach was getting gas in Biggs.(not sure if its "Biggs" or not.) Also, Bend rings a bell but I'm just not sure.

I'll be in Eugene this summer to visit a friend. When is the best time to go with festies in mind? I have all summer. I don't work during the summer.

Hey, Eugene looks like a really cool place to live i love that it is very colorful and artsy and i am a student aspiring of one day being an art therapist. i am very much into organic foods and if i one day had a house with a garden to grow my own fruits and vegetables that would be so great! Oh, and i also love rain and cloudy weather... I read the pro/con forum on living in eugene and now im thinking that people wouldnt like me there because i have grown up and spent my whole life living in california... i mean, its not like im rich or anything!! So, would i be able to make somewhat of a living selling art and being an art therapist/art teacher in eugene and would i be doomed since if i came from california???

    :)

Tell me, what exactly is an "art therapist"? Is that like color therapy? Paint brush acupuncture? Do explain....

Rachael,if you love rain and cloudy weather you'll be right at home here.I haven't heard anyone say anything about Californians--I think maybe years ago there used to be some flak about us.There is more to do here than anyplace I have ever lived.Very artsy and an excellant music scene.---------Take care.

TurquoiseRose, an art therapist is someone that uses art as an outlet for their clients to express what they are feeling.. art therapists are used a lot with children and people with special needs. It is pretty interesting! there is a lot to read about it on the internet

Good. Didn't/doesn't sound too great to me when I was/am on the roof! Roofing in 20 degree weather is for suckers. (suck-suck)
