    Any of these, will work.
Put cream on your hands. Buy soft cotton gloves/mittens, put creams on before you go to bed, Put on mittens.. :D

Gloves are a good idea. Also drinking plenty of water and eating good fats like coconut oil and avocado
Shea or cocoa butter rubbed on the area could help

I always usually get cracked hands in winter. Unfortunately this year my face has dried instead:mad:

Some real bleeding Cracks can be sealed up with super glue... If it comes to that cause Ive had it happen, seal it with the glue as it dries cover it with bandages, aid with antibiotics to promote the moisture inside the bandaged area..

Tips of fingers and stuff can be a bugger if that happens, I havent had them in years..
But I know sometimes they hurt..

A finger Nail health polish, that promote healthy nails can also be a good idea, Green Tea has a brand. Sometimes the polymers in the glue will reduce skin loss and allow the under skin to catch up to the surface...

Your skin is forever falling off your body and theres nothing you can do about it..
    We are all just Dust.:D

You can't treat the symptom without knowing the cause.

Most of the products mentioned above may give relief but not treat the cause.

If none of that works, he'll have to go to the doc for a prescription.

I can endorse "Triamcinolone" cream. 0.5% strength. It worked where all else failed.

I think it's on the Walmart $4 medication list.
