There is nothing bad about Kerry. As for Bush: Horrible environmental record Forced us into a war on false pretenses and had no plan to get out. Gave tax cuts to the weathiest people-trickle down economics didn't work under Reagan and it doesn't work now. Supports corporate welfare Mixes religion with government Has failed to create jobs (the only president with a net loss of jobs) Presided over the worst terrorist attack the nation has ever faced The economy is in awful shape Health care costs are astronomically high Huuuuuuge deficit He has forced his personal beliefs regarding abortion on people who don't subscibe to the same beliefs. U.S. aid now has to be denied by clinics that perform abortions, this has made the AIDS crisis worse and actually increased the number of unwanted pregnancies.
there is bad things about kerry too..what about him bashing dick chanys daughter being a lesbain...and another bad about bush is his gay marriage ban
Bare Foot Bunny Hugg: IM me if you need info about the candidates, AIM: bortmeister13. One little disclaimer, I work for the Kerry Campaign, but I'll try as hard as I can to stay unbiased Peace, Alex
My school is doing this too, I've been asked who I would vote for. I wont to ask a question. Do you think that if Kerry gets in office that gay people will be able to get married? I mean, to me, thats a big issues, and I think that people should focuse alot on that. And I hope that the gay community get out there and votes, and that they will one day be able to marry!!!!!
i think if kerry makes office then there will be a better chance that they will...i think its a big issuse also because im bi and one day i might want to marry a woman. i really dont see why we are treated any diffrent then anyone else..i dont think im comiting a crime by liking someone of the same sex...
I don't think so either. People think that I'm gay/bi because I support it, but I have family memebers who are gay/bi, and I think that if they are happy with someone. And they want to marry them to show how much they love them, they should have that right. Fuck what the government says about it being against God!
personaly im dont belieave in god but i can see how people can change that around and i know many gay/bi people who are religious and say god made me like this and we should all have the same respect. if god didnt want there to be gay lovers then he shouldnt have made people gay..you know?
To make it easier, you could list a certain aspect of the Kerry and Bush you need to know and we can try to answer.
Gay Marriage is one of the few issues on which I disagree with Kerry. To clarify, I completely support gay marriage. Kerry just supports civil unions, not full blown gay marriage. However, he opposes a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage and he voted against DOMA. Bush, on the other hand, supports a constitutional amendment banning it. As for his stance on civil unions, I am not sure. Maybe TheMadcapSyd can shed some light on this. Peace, Alex P.S. This is an important issue, but what you need to realize is that the only real power the president has in deciding social issues, other than pushing legislation, is deciding who to appoint to the supreme court. The next president will most likely get to appoint two or three justices.
lol, I suppose I should explain what DOMA is. the Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA, was signed in 1997 by President Clinton. It does define marriage as being between one man and one woman, but the most significant part of the bill, in my opinion, is that it also says that states don't have to recognize same-sex marriages sanctioned by other states. I believe this directy violates Article IV, section 1 of the constitution: "Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State" I that Bush and the republicans know this, and that the only way they can preserve a ban on same-sex marriage is to amend the constitution. Ok, that's probably more than you need to know IM me if you need any more info. Peace, Alex
