I appreciate your words of 'wisdom,' but really all you said is what you say to your mother when she tries to warn you about the pitfalls ahead.
If you wanna go on in your childish foolishness, go ahead, but be forewarned, not every one has been there and done that - and those that have, you shouldn't cuffaw - because they only do it to try and help you before something worse happens to you then what they went through.
We all see on television the aftermath of drunkdrivers - they didn't listen either - and then, they pay later, and drag others down with them. If you'd ever taken a debate class you'd know that this type of argument is called a plea to authority. It holds no precedence to the real world. If you'd taken a political science class, or even merely a U.S. History class (even though you're Canadian) you'd know that a republic is an operational, and a democracy is a governmental system. They are symbiotic in our case, not polar opposites.

But as to the orginal poster, I am also a musician, as music is my life and always will be. I was raised in the way of music, I've been playing bass and saxophone as long as I can remember. I do not play to glorify myself in the name of fame, I do not play for the title of best bass player this side of hte Mississippi, I play because I LOVE TO PLAY. As Tenacious D would say, "I'm only here to kick some ass,rock the fuckin' house, and kick more ass" I'm here to make the music I love. And from what you said, becuase I dont sit around and write songs about how great god is, I'm a unholy demend?
