Carnivorous plants have always interested me. does anyone here have any and know the best way to care for them. are carnivorous plants usually difficult to take care of. And what would you say is the best carnivorous plant to start with. Thank you all for your time!!! eace:
Whatever you do, don't let them eat daddy long-legs I got a venus fly trap from Walmart and put it outside so it could much to its little heart's content. One by one, the traps swallowed up daddy long-legs, wilted and turned black. Eventually the whole plant just got sick and died. Other than that, it was a lot of fun. $5 was all it cost. I don't know if they have them every year, though... This was about four years ago.
There's a book: The Savage Garden. Anne Rice jokes aside, this is magnificent. I have a terrarium of carnivorous plants and big quartzes, and it's so lovely. I'm thinking of looking for pretty shroomies to plant in it, but it's too early in the year for such things.
i owned a venus fly trap, but it was very hard to take care of. my sister eventually killed it though.
