The closeup of the wooden bead is a dread that has a piece of my amazing girlfriend's hair woven into the root. I'm really hoping it will bond to the dread with the bead over it. I've formed two congos, but didn't take pics of them.. they just congoed at the base.. I did it on purpose with beads.
very nice and i got the bead u sent me in my thickest dread..it decided it wanted to live at about crotch level i love it tho.,.thnx your dreads commin long great i love the idea of the gf dread too thats sorta why i save alotta peices that fall off even beard dreads but doubt any future gf wants mny beard dread attached to her head..lol
Thanks for all the kind words regarding my dread progress. They deff have their good days and bad days, but I've learned to cherish all of their little imperfections.. even the crooked/flat dreads, and loose hairs! I feel like the loose hairs will eventually form natural dreads, which will be really cool. I think my dreads are beginning to tell a story. Right before I broke up with my last girlfriend, I made a congo in the back, and I think of it as marking that era (error? LOL) of my life. Now I'm forming my new girlfriend's hair into a dread. The ends of some are a bit torn up, because on many nights I've nervously played with them while studying for tests. They undoubtedly have trace ammounts of THC (I've actually given up smoking that at the request of the lady). Oddly, and its really hard to explain, a smoking experience converted me from agnosticism into being quite spiritual. But my religious experience is a far more complex story for another day Soaring, I'm very pleased to hear that you liked the bead I made you.
yea really did it took as bit to find the dread it wanted to live in..then one day it slipped off poutside (i said its at crotch level so kept getting sat on or stuck in things) but then i forced it on real good and its staying fine now it kinda can move along a 6 inch section tho, at the top is a real wide flat section so cant go above that and it sorta made itsdelf a lil stopper lump at the bottom that hopefully will keep it from sliding beloew been meanning to get ya pics
