i don't fully agree with this. if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, it still makes a noise.
if the sun explodes, but there is no one in the universe to hear it, does it make a noise??????? dont ruin it laura.
jrny>> because i believe we should learn as much as possible about the world around us. the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom is, to me, one of the most worthy pursuits. and to ignore the facts of science and the world, while it may work for some (likely by chance) does not work for all. you can't wish cancer away. i wish there was proof that we thought up cancer and that's why it came to be, so we can just as easily wish it away, but sadly, that is not the case. the only thing that can defeat cancer is science. and eating copious amounts of beets.
I personally have no direct contact with cancer (i've never had it) and the healing thereof although I've read many sources that show that something as simple as body ph can eliminate cancer. ie cancer thrives in an acidic environment if you raise the ph of the body to 7.2 or above supposedly it cannot survive. This is where vegetarians have an advantage as meat is highly acidic when broken down. and I do agree that an awareness of the world around you is a boon. It becomes limiting because of the framework. At least for me. Medicine is a system and from all of my experiences everything in this reality is based on consciousness. So from the perspective of a western avg. person it's not possible to have spontaneous healing because, one it's not in their personal consciousness as being possible; two it's not in the local collective. There are ways to cut through it but it's difficult. Like in china they use accupuncture for anethesia. People here would think you're crazy. And wishing away cancer... it's either way. There are probalby literally thousands of cases of spontaneous remission for various (often mysterious reasons) if you get into the consiousness of your own body anything is possible. Unless of course you don't believe it. With my energy work I've experienced profound radical healings in people, including myself. I had chronic fatigue syndrome when I was younger, energy was the only thing that touched it. But I've also experienced nothing with clients I've had. It's all about what each person is able to accept as possible and also wants, on a deep soul level, to happen to them. If somebody wants to leave this plane and they're making that decision on a level beyond their conscious self nothing will keep them here. If they make the reciprocal decision I'd say there's not much that can keep them from getting better. It's all about the power of will and intent and surrendering to that process. The mind often is the primary inhibitor of that process. But then again these are just my experiences. Everybody has a valid vantage point, their own. *edit* that last sentence wasn't meant to be I have my own opinion bitch stick to your own! I'm just trying to provide an alternative vantage. sometimes even just opening to the idea that something is possible is the very thing which allows it to happen.
See how no one responded, Gravity? Fuck it, let them go ahead and say Atheism is a religion... it makes them feel better about themselves. Who gives a shit about superstitious fucks anyway. ZW
If your spiritual universe is hollow enough to be put in peril by a bus ad, then you need to seriously rethink your view on the sublime. Some people who are atheists are cocks about it, but a lot of people are just cocks in general. I suspect a lot of atheists felt a little discriminated against growing up. Or was at least my experience. That doesn't excuse cockishness. But then again, some people are just cocks Dean.
i have sprituality...i believe in good old mom. and right now mom is pissed off, she has been since mid-late 2005 and she's not getting any happier.
Ultimately, Its up to the individual to decide, if he/she wishes, to believe in something such as a creator, someone in charge. I guess its better to believe in something, than to get to the other side, (wherever it may be) and not believe and find out One does exist. Believe in yourself first, what you feel passionate about, and I think a god will present itself to you. Where I come from, theres a little bit of god in everyone and everything.
