Hey, Stoners! Not that i think so highly of myself, but i'd like to let y'all know that i'll be MIA, to one extent or another, for the next little while ~> My Mom has been in ICU for the past 3 weeks, and the doctors are finally starting to make some headway in her diagnosis, treatment and recovery. As soon as she is moved to a regular room, i'll be cooling my heels at the hospital, staying with her as a private duty nurse. i'm not sure if my old dinosaur of a laptop is in any condition for use, but i'll try to lug it along, and may be able to give y'all HELL, even from a motel room! Needless to say, any prayers/good vibes will be SINCERELY appreciated!
sorry to hear that.. i'll keep her in mind.. i'd say my prayers go out to her... but i dont pray.. PS.. tell her to get the most out of her morphine dropper if she has one
I'm sorry to hear that your mom is in the ICU. I hope everything goes well. You have my good vibes, and so does your mother. Don't stay away for too long! And safe travels.
A BIG Thank You to ALL of y'all!!! Did i happen to mention that she smokes? Yeah, so feel free to send buds ~ no name brands rejected! (JUST KIDDING!!!)
Bummer, I am sorry to hear about your moms. I will surely have you and she in my thoughts, and keeping up with spirit of the Lounge I will roll a joint for you. Be well and good luck
Subdural hematoma, with pneumonia complicating it. Thank God it wasn't a stroke, like we first thought! They're checking her fluid pressure in her brain with a spinal tap, and will decide from there whether to install a shunt from her brain to her abdomen, to release any future excess build-ups. They've kept her so doped up, between operations for: a trach; a feeding tube; 2 exploratory's; etc. that we haven't even been able to communicate with her. ONE time, she was semi-alert, but with the trach, she couldn't talk, just mouth words, and unfortunately, none of us can read lips.
