Guitar (help me!)

ok, so I've been trying to learn guitar for a while now, but I try to read tabs and get maybe 3 notes and then give up.

So my question is, does anyone know any instructional sites or something like that? I've tried to learn to read tabs from one site, I'm just dumb is what it comes down to I think. Or maybe someone knows some really easy song to learn so I could get my feet wet and then start progressing?

Also, you should practise improvision a bit as well to get you a feel for the songs... just play what's natural for you. I've found my natural to be blues and jazz... I'm pretty much natural at jazz bass as well... sort of like... a funked up Jaco Pastorius.

Orsino2, awsome advice, thank you so much. I acctually am alreayd a singer, so my sound is figured out, I do bluesy jazzy stuff mostly, but I'm hoping that with the help of guitar I can fine tune it, and incorperate some blue grass and jam stuff into it.
