This topic has been discussed before, but I want to ask if anyone here as actually got their ears pointed. I've thought it would be interesting to have pointed ears, but I don't want to do it by removing a piece. It came to mind to try to do it using the principle of tissue expansion, which is the same way stretching works. A constant upward pulling on the ears would cause them to grow in that direction. It might be done by attaching a cord by taping, or directly to a piercing positioned at the point (at some risk of migration) to both ears and running over the top of the head. It wouldn't even have to be left on all the time, maybe just while sleeping. I know this would be an extremely slow process, possibly taking as much as a couple years or so (and they would shrink some if you stop), but I suspect the result could be more satisfying, namely that the ears will actually be longer, though probably with less pronounced points. Perhaps that could be resolved by combine it with surgical pointing. It seemed like such a simple idea to me that I figured somebody must have thought of it before, but I just can't find anything like it. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and try, just to set the example, or if anybody else can shed some light on this. I'm just not so attached to the idea that I'm willing to have pieces cut out of my ears, at least not as a first attempt.
