one of my goals in 2009 is to eliminate as much waste as possible. Food, clothing, household items ect. What do you all do to eliminate waste? A compost pile is an obvious first step I think....what else?

everything has a carbon footprint so i decided to just use way less. less food, less consumerism. im supprised how much less food i have eaten in the past few months since i started to eat less. i would often find myself eating out of boredom, now im conscious of my eating habbits.

i still go to shows and drive quite a bit. but that is necessary for my sanity.

Try not to ever let food go bad, buy in larger sized containers to save packaging waste, use all old clothing as rags, use as few paper towels and plates as possible by doing dishes, and having washable towels. Collect rain so you don't waste as much water...Use washable rags to wipe instead of toiler paper. -Joke on that one.
