Im getting my tongue redone!

I got surgery in August and had to take my tongue piercing out. I didnt really care that much, but now i miss it, so i decided to get it done again. Im going tomorrow it will only cost me 20 dollars too since i have it tongue ring already, and it heels much faster. im excited!

 

kudos on the re-pierce! Iv been mulling over getting my tongue done but the swelling has me a bit nervous...don't want to sound like a tard for a week

 

Cool, I think you should do what you want.

In the future, if you are insistent about not taking it out, many doctors will let it slide. There are very few procedures where it is actually necesary to remove piercings. Most times, they do it as a matter of routine because they don't want to take responsibility for them, but there's no compelling medical reason to do so.

Just be insistent and find a sympathetic doc.

 

thanks! angel, if you are really thinking about it then you should do it! it really doesnt hurt very bad, and talking isnt that hard either. i had a small lisp for about four days but even then most people couldnt tell that i had it. oh i have another question for anybody... is it terrible to smoke with new piercings?

 

i smoke too...good question... maybe its like when you get your wisdom teeth out...it will prolong healing..just a guess
