    hello!
id like to know if any of you`s are 2000miller(3500km)?(walk the trail from one end to the other) how long did it take you? did you run it to any problems?
what was the best part of the walk for you?

me in 1996 i walked it wit my girlfriend till she forgot something and refused to turn back wit her fast 20mile on 4th day of walking.so from there on i walked alone(well wit ppl i didnt know)took me 5 months 3week 3days and 4 hours to my suprize my girlfriend(ex) was on top on mont washinton waitting for me(still to that day i dont know if she walk pass me or just got out of the trail and came to meet me at the end) on trail we ran in to a few bear but besides that everything was nice lucky me only gone in all 10days of rain and this was around New york state i alomost gave up 2 times during the walk the first time couldnt tell you here but seconde time was at appalachian trail train stop (trail goes in to NYC) lost 10% of my body fat during the walk and lost about 40lb by time i got back home in canada i was very weak and sleept for about 3 weeks no stop!:D

There are a couple of thru hikers on HF. I'm only a thru hiker wannabe, the most I've spent on the trail is 22 days thus far. You have to be a little nuts to walk 2100+ miles. And that's a good thing :)
