I Hate Simple Plan! Anyone Else Feel The Same Way?

I don't know Tsunabi Bomb but this is quite possibly the lamest argument ever used. Also, your posts radiate an angsty-fourteen-year-old atmosphere. You just spell better. Slightly. I'm clueless about why you want people to change their musical interests, why would you care what they listen to?

This whole argument reminds me of the argument if Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir are Black Metal or not. My answer is that they're not anymore, technically, but that doesn't mean they don't play good music. Now I don't know any of those bands you mentioned, but it's quite a similar case: who cares what genre they are or how many albums they sell, as long as they're good? I know that you still think Simple Plan suck, even if the music they make is called punk after all, but musical taste is something personal, please don't try to force your views on other people.

I agree hailtothekingbaby. That makes sense. I don't think genre describes good music. Because I love Rock, but music doesn't have to be Rock for me to like it. Just like with Punk. If somethings Punk, it doesn't make it good. But there is some good punk out there.

1. Perhaps not all of us even care if punk rock is "brought back to what it's supposed to be".

alot of punk rock has always been about girls - look at the Ramones! the Buzzcocks etc. Punk has always been about girls!

but alot of these newer american punk bands do have whiney californian singing voices, and sing in harmonies. These "punk" bands are just like boy bands entirely made up of the "bad boy" in the boy bands. They sing the same way as the boy bands, they just have guitars as well.
