i hope you know its illegal in ontario to hitch a ride!! the OPP aint to friendly wit hitchhiker and you may end you wit a ticket and a ride to the closes cop station! well all depends on where you are also! to near toronto?tunderbay?ottawa? if you can get to ottawa would the easyst way to get trou ontario manitoba all the way to alberta!DONT take a ride if person aint goin all the way to alberta.lets say you get off in manitoba your looking at a LONG TIME b4 you get your next ride if you get one that is! MARK DOWN on CARDBORD where your goin wit PLEASE and other SIDE HAVE A NICE DAY« one side from when they coming and after they pass you turn it around so they see the have a nice day good chance theyll stop cause of it! other thing that works is putting MISSING MY MOM !!!GOIN TO SEE MY FAMELY!!«driver will fell bad and will pick you up all theses trick are what ive used and always ended up getting rides all the way ouest! and always made it to the valley wit in 4-5day after leaving home! Hitching a ride wit a girls will be easyer then being 2 guys!so best way is 1 female and 1 men if you leave solo you got 99.9% chances of making it alive aint always safe you can mett some real winners or like me ended up wit pockets full of money given to me litle story in dec 1996 i left N.B got ride in snowstorm all the way to montreal that person gave me 40$ cause i didnt have any $$ nor food. my next ride from montreal was an indien whom gave me 50$ + once in cornwall stop and ate at windys after eating we got back on the road and indien guy was like lisent im letting you off at next exit and he told me why! was cause the car we was in was full of drugs and smoke . b4 leaving me in midle of nowhere gave me more money drug and smokes and i was stones out of my mind and started freaking out caus i was high didnt know where f i was and was snowing like crazy after a few hours i got the ride i was looking 4 all the way to alberta...3days later still full of $$ drug was letf off at my mothers house in alberta . took me 6days 3 ride from N.B to ALberta!!
What the fuck are you talking about its illegal to hitchhike in ontario??? its completely legal i just hitchhiked from ThunderBay to Toronro on hwy11 last week and talked to many cops along the way... every now and again one will stop and take your name to make sure your not on the run or nething but then they wish you luck and leave. One freezing night I was stuck in a town called Kapuskasing in north ontario and me and my buddy found a nice unlocked mini school bus with no seats in it to crash in, and soon after we went inside and were falling asleep some flashlights were shining in and it was the OPP cuz they had been called by the owners of the bus. but they fuckin took us to the nearest motel and let us stay for free!! and also gave us these peices of paper they signed that allowed us to free tim hortans the next day they were fuckin awsome. and the motel had like 5 ashtrays so we just chimney smoked and watched back to back episodes of seinfeld all night. sometimes certain police kick ass, others are fuckin peices a shit but its still legal 2 hitchhike along any major highways in ontario (prettymuch 11 or 17 you would use) its only illegal to hitch down freeways like the 401 where cars are flyin by at 140.
I would add that you should hitch from a place where someone could stop SAFELY to pick you up....make sure they have room to pull over
