About a month ago I took about 15 mg of Ambien. It was pretty fun, I was more sociable and there was some trippy shit. But the next day I could not keep anything down. I threw up twice, and the second time I hadn't ingested anything but water. I felt shitty all day. I thought it was either food poisoning or a side effect of the Ambien. Has anyone heard of something like this?
It's been awhile since you posted, but.... I think it was a random occurance. Since you took 5mg with no problem before that. The usual prescribed dose is 10mg, so 15mg isn't going to make you sick like that. I've seen nausea and vomiting as a side effect of suddenly discontinuing long term use of it, but not after a single dose like that... to my knowledge anyway. I have my share of experience with this med and it's pretty good.
