Focal points of life energy distributed at the main nerve junctions along the spinal chord. 7 points in total, and where your mind usually gets absorbed can tell you which chakra you need to balance, for example over indulgence in drugs, or sex, or love etc.

 

There are thousands of chakras actually, the 7 you mention are just the main ones, apparently...

I believe in chakras, I've had reiki done on me a few times. I even had the channel opening done on me very quickly before I left india, dunno if it worked, but I could feel the skin on my palms undulating as my aura was taken out, or something.
