Sounds like fun! But, myself included, isn't sad how we want to live a life of freedom and community but it's always about the money?

Sometimes I wish I could drop out of the rat race.

I usually can only make it to barter fair. I would like to check out some more. If anyone knows of some really fun fairs they would like to share with me, PM me. Thanx.

BTW im on the west coast, but wouldnt mind checking some out on the east coast.

Yep very true. Check out the movie 'the money masters' its like 3hrs but well worth the watch. It explains the history of money and how this commodity became the monetary system that enslaves all of us in 'modern' or 'civilized' culture/society. Well it doesnt get heavy into the slave part but its more of a documentary style lecture.

I just got back a couple of days ago from Canaan Downs Festival (New Zealand, used to go under the moniker of The Gathering) which was bloody excellent. I'm hoping to go to one called Luminate up at the same place...I was thinking about Rainbow Serpent over in Australia but it's just too close now and I don't know if I can get time off work. Curse my disorganisation! Gluh and my life's goal is to get to Burningman some year.

I wanna hit up All Good, Rothbury, Camp Bisco (my attendance to these depends on my acceptance to summer school...it will be sad, but they will return in years to come)

ALSO Echo Project, and perhaps ULTRA

maybe Langerado depending on the line up

I don't think they're having Echo Project this year, but they supposedly are having it next year (2010)

Sorry, you're right. That's what I've heard as well. Yeah, I think that's a great time to have a festival in the south. Bonnaroo in June is just too hot most of the time.
