Because at 21 I figure I'm super fertile, I'm on the pill the rest of the time but I don't want to risk it then.

Fair enough.....that is good practice. My current wife before marriage always wanted me to cum in her when she was on the pill, I still used to pull out everytime, just paranoid I guess. Bout the only time i felt confortable with it is when she was on her period. Now that we're married, i'm not worried about it but still pull out the majority of the time....just less maitenance afterwards.:)

I'm so confused right now by the "pull out" method. I had heard for years that precum has sperm in it, so you were still putting yourself at pretty high risk of getting pregnant. However, I am taking a class on human sexuality right now and the textbook said that precum actually does not contain sperm, its only a sort of lubricant. It said that the pull out method (assuming its used correctly and every time) is just as effective as condoms. Any scientists in here who want to help me out with this? Its really been bugging me.

912, as i understand it, the pre-cum doesn't contain any sperm itself, its just it often picks up sperm in the urethra on its way out if the urethra isn't clean, hence the confusion as to whether it does or not. so if the guy takes a piss between last time cumming and having sex, the pull out method should work in theory.

I understand that the penis impacting the cervix actually helps some women orgasm. So I wonder if a cap would prevent that?

And as for IUDs I found:

"...Immediate postpartum insertion. The timing of postpartum IUD insertion is important. FHI studies show that for best results devices should be inserted within 10 minutes of placenta expulsion rather than at any other time before discharge from the hospital..."

another problem with the pulling out method is that u could easily change ur mind in the heat of the moment.the few times my fiance and i used this method i stopped him from pulling out, b/c i love the way he feels when he bursts inside me, lol. this is another reason why we don't like condoms, cuz it feels weired and unnatural, like fake sex, lol. I'm on the birth control patch (i kept missing my pills) this patch gave some women in ny blood clotting and they died. these women were over 40,smoked,and were fat. so its recommened for u 2 eat right and exercise regularly.

This is the reason kids should just say no. Really, the "Pull out Method" or "No penality for early withdraw" is a chance type of control at best. It takes only 1 time to forget, be not quite as quick pulling out, a drip down your front side, a drip down your back side and you will get pregnant. There are dozens of condoms from lubricate to non-latex that will work. You are extremely young, so at least give some alternative condoms a try. If you find one, you should consider yourself lucky to not be pregnant. There are spermicide gels, IUD's, Diaphram's and a whole host of other methods you should really look into before you end up in a situation you may regret.

If it's hard to get around now, what do you think it will be like when you have a baby to care for?

Babies are the most valuable thing on this planet. Please don't bring an unwanted child into this world just because you don't feel comfortable using birth control.

Have fun, play safely, and remember that you can't get pregnant with saliva!

HEY! My family is catholic! So I know what you mean! They can be a crazy bunch. My grandmother had 10 kids.

I hope that this young lady dummies up and uses the pull out method to get her head out of her ass and make him slip on a rubber. Plenty of THIN ones you can barely notice out on the market now. Don't be a statistic. My wife has one of those IUD things - fucks her all up. 3 week long periods followed by a week without just to wake up on the 8th day and go for another 2 weeks. We've barely had sex in the past year because of it and she still makes me pull it out.

Why not have your bf take you to planned parenthood?

Let's clear something up about precum, a simple method.

If you've had any masturbation and ejaculation sessions within the last 24 hours ( I'm paranoid, I know ) and you don't piss or anything from the moment you cum, and you have sex, the precum WILL pick up small amounts of sperm.

So, remember kids, when having sex, make your man urinate, and urinate hard before hand- Force a glass of watter or two down his throat 1-3 hours before hand for ensured urination stream quality :)

The pull out method CAN work if used right.. but there are always those freak accidents.. Now, pull out method + clearing the urethra before intercourse + using a condom right is the best! Make sure to always use a condom, and here is what you do when you do. The second you feel your about to come guys, take it out and let it happen! To make sure condoms work, make sure to put it on correctly, that it fits "snuggly", that you do NOT get TOO rough. Using lubricated condoms is great! Make sure your lubed up and that she is very wet, and lube her up too in the process! I recommend K + Y. Trust me, it's... cool :) If the condom is lubed and shes wet and lubed as well, even when you get rough the condom is very unlikely if not, impossible to tear!

Still feeling paranoid? Keep track of your girls ovulation cycle ( although me and my partner don't do that ) so that you can time sex according to this. Google it.

    STILL paranoid?

Take that condom after its used, and refill it with water 3 times over, and just look for any sign of a leak/tear/hole.

    ...

Or get some freakin birth control pills. Pills + Condom, it's more expensive, but combine my rational steps for using condoms and taking the pill within 5-20 minutes of the same time +, -, every single day and I seriously, seriously believe you will NOT get pregnant.

Go to your local planned parenthood. With your OWN ID, school ID, and proof of address, you can get very cheap birth control- or FREE birth control depending on your situation. They offer free doctors to give cervical check ups and basic health examinations to determine the best birth control for you! Too far? Use the bus system. If your under 18 years old, the bus is in fact very cheap in most states/ provinces.

Don't cum inside of her with or without a condom until your adults and are in the situation where you can handle that kind of situation called pregnancy!

Obviously there is no definete answer to this question. It is just the luck of the draw if a girl ends up being pregnant by this method. I believe you can use this method and not get pregnant but it is just in due time til that unknown sperm finds its way to that egg. ITS A CHANCE, AND CHANCES ARE NEVER 100%

I do this too, but i use bc.
You should really use bc, and its not even bad for you.
Acually i love it, and if you dnt want to get pregnet and not use condoms
then i would suggest getting on bc, or using condoms.

my friend just got pregnant and is crudding herself! her and her bf were using the pull out method. are you 16? get a grip and use birth control. your clearly not ready to have a baby as you have to be wise to be a good parent and it is completely unwise to use the pull out method as a form of birth control.
