r...well my friend met this chick a yr ago where we used to work (a coffee shop2007). well they talked talked talked and i THINK he went out on one date. Well after three months of i guess" being" his girlfriend she proposed?! by now shes 17 going into senior yr of high school , her high school which is a very hard school to get in, so i know shes smart. So my dumb ass friends like "oh well she proposed to me so im going to buy a $600.00 ring" which he does, note she proposed after three months of being his gf. well she barely goes out with her during her senior like three times and he only met ONE of her nerdy guy friends. so prom comes up and here comes my friend and buys her prom tickets ! WTF and doesnt even go to the after party!!! (at my prom i remember all girls had there bf there even if they were in college ). another thing he tolled me was that his paying for her credit cards?? that "her" mother is using her credit cards with out her permission?? well two month to her graduation she tells him " find an apartment so we can move together" so he moves out of his parents place in may 08. Now a week before graduation she tells him "oh i have to go to puerto rico with my mother " ok i understand she loves her mother. well then his pissed off and HE tells me that she will come back on aug.08 to go to school in florida....well surprise "oh i cant come becuase of my moms cancer but in jan.09 for sure" well at this point i think its bullshit because my friend tells me that she only talks to him at 8am of the morning once a week??? so now i cant believe that shes only able to talk to him once a week ?like Puerto is a communist estate???? also he tells me that he puts money in her account?? when she asks? now its the 09 and isnt here? i just need to know his being played?? i notice my friend being a very desperate person in always wanting to have thing first to show off which doesnt brother me becuz its his nature. so i guess he doesnt want to break up with her. so im just wondering if is normal to be like this fake material chick??
i have a friend in a suspicious situation. sucked his bank account dry, is having 'his' baby a month and a half early (when she got knocked up after like, 2 weeks of being together, hmm) and deep down, i hope the baby comes out non caucasian, just so i can be right. your friend was either brainwashed, or the sex was out of this world. tell him to cut his losses, count it as a hard lesson learned, and start saving his money up again. paying off someone else's credit cards? the 'proposal' was probably a ruse to convince him shes serious. he might call the cops too, it could be a scam you know?

Funny 'cause that's totally not what I read in that post. What I read is that as a 'friend' what you believe means little because the fellow getting played is the only one that can make the realization and act on it. And sometimes shitty relationships are like addictions, you can't convince a person until they are ready to be convinced to accept the problem. But since your 'friend' and you now seem to be the same person, I can see how you chose to interpret defensively.
