    Neil Gaiman .. maybe.
His books are probably the ones I have reread -happily reread- more than any other authors.

    check out sandman

when your kids are older, a comic book might be a good way to introduce them to gaiman

and it's set in the dc universe proper.

lately been readings lots of laurell k hamilton (cheesy but enjoyable) and rereading tamora pierce (aimed at a younger audience, but fun stories). patricia a mckillip, robin mckinley and charles de lint also come to mind as great authors. i like my fantasy novels :D

My favorite author is God, with his great book "The Bible: Or How I stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bong"

Is he really an author? I thought that he just shat on paper.

no, hip is liking him, not liking him is really square, but from what I understand, lots of people who wear big boy clothes and don't do that whole indie thing are REALLY willing to risk it.

He is simply not a good author. His books read like cheap pulp fiction with an edge.
