The US suspended filling the reserve in may when oil was over$100 a barrel.NOW would be a very good time to start again.

China is doing the very same thing right now.

 

It does seem inconsistent, doesn't it? The government saying spent fuel that lasts for 20000 years is "safe" sounds like a conspiracy to me! Oh wait, let me guess, the conspiracy is that spent fuel doesn't stay toxic for 20000 years, that is the lie, its perfectly harmless

 

How many gallons do we have now? Are we buying because China is? My understanding was before the economic meltdown we had the highest surplus in history. Do we need more? Or are we buying because it will raise the price?
