GAH!!! It's 1:30 AM and i can't sleep, i'm laying in bed thinking and realizing there is a computer next to me.

My reasons for wanting to brush out are
    A) i feel like a whore having fake dreadlocks. They were initially backcombed and waxed and i feel guilty every time i think about it, it goes against why i have them to begin with (not wanting ot care for my hair.)
    C) I want natural hair, after i get this shitty wax out and my hair is recovered from that horrible stuff i'll just stop brushing it and not use shitty shampoos, vinnager anyone? :cheers2:
    D) I don't know what your generation or area of the world is like, but the kids in my highschool are fucking stupid. I'm just hoping my hair doesn't re-dread before i graduate. THe next time i'm called Lil Wayne, Weezie, Bob Marley, or Lil Weezie, i promise you that i will fucking scream.:nopity:

As long as you feel you are cutting for the right reason. Besides, the wax thing is bad anyway. Good luck.

You have to feel good about your locks if there gonna have a chance of surviving. Starting over is probably your best option. Good Luck

too bad you want to cut your dreads, I want some and I can't get them, my hair doesnt want to knot up so I think your lucky you can, just brush them out and start back natural man.

I've tried everything from boiling water with ACV to manual removal with scissors to get wax out, trust me guys it doesn't leave. I've had shit in my hair for over two years now, it does not leave.

I'm going to try just combing with a metal comb, when that fails i'll just load my hair up with mayonnaise or conditioner. It should be brushed by the end of the dayl

ShortyAH: My best friend hasn't brushed his hair since a little before school started (september) and he has some assorted nappyness going on, If you want a hairstyle get them done or "do" them, if you just like dreadiness than stop brusing and your very own completely origional/natural set will grow.

Hey man, I understand about how the wax won't come out, just tonight I painfully ripped open a dread after I saw a tiny bit of wax on the surface, it got the boiling water treatment:) I have loads of it still in my hair 10 months down the line!

yea I tried going natural for 5 months, when I noticed it just wasnt working I combed my hair and it me like 2 minutes to unknot everything, I was pissed off, but I think it's because I used bronner, it just like glued my hair together with residues, nasty.

I tried backcomb without success after, we'll see this time.

ShortyAH: 5 months, jeez! THere's a person who frequents this board whos name is "havepatience". if you're not willing ot be satisfied with natural hair than you might as well get them done by a friend or something over the course of a few hours. Remember evrey time you brush it youre back to square one.

(not trying to be condescending, don't take it that way)

SmellyD: Nice name first of all! Second, my mom is helping me, she cut tem to about six or 8 inches and we're almost done. probaly about anohter hour and a half. ALl of hte ones in the front are done but i'll be working on hte back ones anyways

ThePMiester: Rip it open and behold, the entire middle is white and flakey! I guarentee it. THere is so much wax on my kitchen table right now, the comb i'm using WAS yellow, now it's bloched with brown.

almost done guys =) THis might be a world record or something.

I tried to 'make' them too, with a friend, didnt worked, I just cant find the write soap and shampoo to use so I try again.

When I go in a drug store or somewhere I buy all the cheap soaps I can see that could work, havent found anyway.

For someone who's starting over you're being interestingly condescending.

And even with dreads you still have to care for your hair. Even if it's to keep it clean and stop all the dreads from eating each other.
