Hey, has anyone ever tried citalopram? If you have, did they work well for you? did you get any bad side effects? how long did you need them? I've just begun on them 6 days ago for my depression. its my first time on anti depressants. I have hardly slept in those 6 nights but generally they make me feel better. Gotta get a decent nights sleep soon though! its making me feel shit. cheers x
Hey. I'm taking them right now I've been on them for about 3 weeks. The only real side effect i've noticed is that they make me feel a little sick and I don't have much of an appetite. I really don't know if they are working yet for me though. I'm just going to stick with them and hopefully things will turn around. I wish you all the best!
they didn't work for me I was on it for about a year...the doc said he saw an improvement but i don't know...I had just got out of psychiatric ward so who knows. effexor did, although its quite a step up from citalopram...apparently.
Eh, anti-depressants don't work for the vast majority of people who try them. Or, if they're ignorant enough, the might psych themselves into believing they work. They're all pretty neurotoxic too. As in, if you keep taking them, your brain chemistry might be permanently altered. Whether good or not. My advice would be to seek therapy. Much, much healthier than anti-depressants.
the vast majority of people are stressed about real things and can probably have their situation resolved withint 5 sessions. Some people are so caught up in their issues that they have no voice...or say for me I was stressed to the point of convulsion. If you want meds, goto a psychiatrist..they're bound to give you something that is closer to working...that in combination with therapy is gold
