I Faded colors of dying dreams Nothing's what I thought they seemed Flash of lightning and I am blind In the darkness I try to find Angel's wings to help me fly Voice to sing me a lullabye: One to turn water into wine One to turn back the hands of time And release me Release me and let me live again II Scent of perfume and woman's hair Rum-soaked lips and glass-eyed stare Flash of lightning and I am blind In the darkness I try to find Angel's wings to help me fly Voice to sing me a lullabye: One to turn water into wine One to turn back the hands of time And release me Release me and let me live again III Broken circle of vanished friends Far too late to make amends Flash of lightning and I am blind In the darkness I try to find Angel's wings to help me fly Voice to sing me a lullabye: One to turn water into wine One to turn back the hands of time And release me Release me and let me live again IV Blessed blood where I took my name I have put my own blood to shame Flash of lightning and I am blind In the darkness I try to find Angel's wings to help me fly Voice to sing me a lullabye: One to turn water into wine One to turn back the hands of time And release me Release me and let me live again V In the desert I wait for rain To wash away uncried tears of pain Flash of lightning and I am blind In the darkness I try to find Angel's wings to help me fly Voice to sing me a lullabye: One to turn water into wine One to turn back the hands of time And release me Release me and let me live again
Wandrin' from coast to coast Alone without a friend Night falls and coast to coast I travel without end No room for me to rest In this melancholy night No place to lay my head So I'll leave it all up to You Heaven was hell for me I was too blind to see The magic of simply being me In You No arms to hold me close In this melancholy night No space to call my own So I'll leave it all up to You And when the wind blows I'll stay close To the fire in my soul And when the self dies This Son will rise Reborn In You.
Hey bathala nice to see you've gathered some old classics on here!! I haven't read this whole thread cover to cover, as it were but this was a stand out for me: "Scent of perfume and woman's hair Rum-soaked lips and glass-eyed stare" it's a cocktail of sensations, that clash and leave you feeling ... odd!
