I accuse all religious people who force there beliefs onto there children as being child molesters. (molesting the minds of the innocent)

So I purpose a question:

If you believe in some sort of omnipotent being who created time and the universe and supposedly knows all and he told you in whatever way that would convince you that he needed you to murder your first born child(he tells you he would grow to be the next Hitler for example), would you?

If you answered yes you may have a mental disease and might be a danger to your family and your children should be removed from your custody.

If you say no your a fraud. So why continue to fake it?

I think Harry Truman had a point when he refused to answer "iffy" questions. The question could be interpreted as a variant of Dostoevky's hypothetical: would you kill an innocent child to save all humanity? Yes I would, hypothetically speaking. If God could convince me that similar stakes were involved, I might consider it--like maybe the kid is the Antichrist. But if this happened in the real world, I'd want to ask a few questions first, like: how do I know this is really God and not Satan? How do I know I'm not hallucinating? Is this one of those "Abraham and Isaac tests?,etc. It seems to me, that unless we think it's appropraite to worship power per se, which I don't, we should want to make sure that there's some overriding good involved, like the survival of greatest number of people. (I'm a utilitarian at heart.) By coincidence, I just read the same hypothetical earlier today on an atheist site, possibly Dawkins', so I guess it's making the rounds.

I would tell all mighty God to fight his own fucking wars and execute his own murders. I will have nothing to do with 'Gods' blood lust. If every God fearing tool on this planet looked up at the sky and screamed "I will not kill for you!", then we might actually have some hope for peace on earth.

The God fearing need to establish some new rules. Rules like:
- God will never ask you to kill anyone, if so you are listening to the devil.
- If any Politician ever mentions God or any religious people, symbols, or events it should be viewed as an insult and a curse and the offending politician must forfeit any position.
- God will not protect your sons and daughters joining any army or fighting group no matter how righteous the cause may seem. Any form of prayer for a soldiers wellbeing by family or self will be considered a curse and an insult to God.

If everyone on this planet followed those 3 rules then the vast majority of Wars world come to a screeching halt.

But after the hypothetical member of whatever cult changed his religion to state those things doesn't it make it obvious that the religion (whatever it may be) was originally man made?

Im only 15 and im glad i opened my eyes. religion is nothing but brainwash all of it. if there was no religion think of how drastically our world would change for the better. its just stupid to think what do here on earth is being judged by some all powerful being who decides where your "soul" goes when you die. if there is an afterlife its not going to be heaven or hell and were not going to see all of our dead relatives whn we die thats all just a bunch of shit. now a days people are too fucking retarded to realize this and they think "heaven" is gonna be good times just like on earth. i wish people would take a fucking realistic approach when it comes to religion.

The religion i dislike the most is christianity tho. wow what a fucking joke that has turned into. the majority of christians i would say are just looking for acceptance. most peoples lives are shitty and religion is so easy to be accepted into... all you gotta do is believe in something that is not there. and if your a christian your now part of an (in their eyes) elite group of know it alls, who are going to some place when they die because some book told them they would. most christians imo just want to follow the crowd, fit in, and always believe what theyre told.

I think religion should be for people to get along with each other, help each other out when times get rough, and should just teach you to be a better person in your life. christians may stand for that but close to none of them pratice it. then theres the people who say oh there has to be a god how did we get here? how was everything created? well the truth is nobody fucking knows and believing in some fake christian god isnt the answer to the question, unless you like to have an answer for everything and always want to believe in what your told. times have changed but peoples stupidity hasnt.

I do agree with you rude with that. People do take it overboard with religion. example christians and catholics. I seen a lot that brainwash all the time. My cousins were brainwashed to it, and they're older and actually picked their own religion or just dont believe. I was never brainwashed because my parents stopped believing when they seen THEIR priest on the news for molesting children so as I got older, I chose my own and that was buddism. Its not really a religion but I do like their beliefs and i chose that

Reread your post, you offer no claims or facts, you yourself are just being a proponent to what I have proposed.

I assume you like most people don't believe in Zeus or Mithra so in a very literal sense everyone is an atheist, against which gods are up to them.

Since to many agnostics god is something entirely personal to them the only way to ask for proof is to discredit there belief.

 

I accuse anyone who teaches their child to speak of child abuse. How dare they claim that abstract collections of vocalised sound have meaning? How dare they insist that symbols arranged in sequences represent concepts without proof? On whose authority do they make these claims?

To these people I say: you are enemies of Science!, and if you can't say anything without using Science! you should not say it at all. But as a reasonable man, I am okay with you saying these things, as long as you don't say them to anyone. I AM BEING THAT FUCKING REASONABLE HERE.
