I need some feedback

on some art i did today.. it is my first with oil pastels.. what do you think?

I wasn't expecting something so good for a first timer. (this coming from a very unartistic artesan)

I keep on telling myself im going to complete an oil pastel piece, but i never do. Looks great, they are hard to work with and it turned out great.

How funny, I was just thinking of you today and wondering where you'd run off to. I think your painting is lovely. I painted my first canvas with acrylic paint the other day and fell in love. It's a butterfly. I need to do some more work to it, fix some stuff, but I love painting canvas.

 

lol you thought about me? I don't think I have posted on here in over a year. Well actually I've been really busy finishing up with school. But I think ill start back here again. I miss this place. And also I did mine on drawing paper. I have 3 canvases but wanted to do a rough draft and I couldn't stop.

I like it.
But, forgive me, I could be very wrong, the compesition feels wrong.
To my untrained eye, it feels like the trees should be on left and your eye is then drawn from left to right. As I think your brain naturally tends to do.
Perhaps the fauna you have at the bottom could be flipped as well.
But, I know nothing about art.
