extracting rittalin from Concerta

i have a Rx for Concerta, which is Rittalin in a time-released capsul, so it lasts all day. i was wondering if it was possible to extract the powdered rittalin itself from the capsul. it says on the bottle i'm not supposed to break open the pills. what can i do??!!?

Break open the pills...people do it with Adderall all the time, which is about the same maybe not as strong (I'm not sure, my friend takes Concerta I take adderall) as Concerta, and they crush it up and snort it...

 

I have concerta too. I would either break open the pills and snort, or take a couple of Concerta straight. What size do you have right now?

 

im pretty sure the concerta pill is a rather complex thing, with different layers that release different things at different times like depending on how fast your body breaks down the pill, so i dunno, you might be snorting something you dont wanna snort

 

To make the pills time release, they coat the granules of the active ingredients in a material that takes time for your stomach to metabolize. So, as the material dissolves bits of the active ingredient are released. To make them snortable, you have to crush the powder up inisde so that it exposes more of the active.

 

concerta has a laser hole on one end of it. The drug is released through the hole, at different times, due to different layers within the tablet. The tablet itself could be found in your stool still mostly intact. Concerta does not use the time-release coated beads as Adderall XR does. You would have to find something to dissolve the coating, perhaps some isopropyl alcohol, or break open the tablet and scrape all the active drug out. You are never going to separate it completely from the time release binders within the tablet. Why not just swallow it?

 

I am sorry for bumping this old old. Thread but i kinda got here from google and remembered my account here. And couldnt let people follow my steps to the wrong facts. Not beein rude or anythin like that i am just wanting to announce a working way to extract Metylphenidate from the concerta tablets. First of all you take of the outer shell with a knife and your nails, dont peel it to deeply cause you only want the shell not the plasticlike coating thats underneath protect.ing the 2nd or 3rd layar. Put the shells fragments in a small microwave secure container, like a shotglass or something like that. Then you take your knife again, look at the tablet there are one dark and one light colored part.
Cut that just between, the Substance you want is in the white part of the tablet, the dark one is mostly made of diffrent gels and chemicals to make the "medicine" less harmfull to your stomach as its in there dissolving for +12 hours so you dont wanna use that.
Split it in the middle, peel the thin transparent plastic coating off, then crush up the white/creamwhite part without any traces of that plastic coating cause thats just ´gonna dissolve in the acetone you later will be using.

When the plastic coating is removed, put the white chunk that you just peeled of the plastic coating beeneeth the outer shell in the same microwave secure container as the Outer shell, ón the 18mg this shell is Yellow, 36mg White and 54mg Orange, this shell, the peeled light colored half shold be crushed to a fine powder and then just pour Acetone on this powder, stir carefully not violently cause that would cause some of the ¨binding materials to also dissolve, and this you do not want, The Metylphenidate will dissolve ONLY! in the acetone, you could also use other solvents like Xylen, Ether etc, just pm me for any Q's..

Anyway, then you just filter it with a coffefilter remove the pillfragments then you get a halfclear sollution of acetone, put this Acetone in the microwave or on the stove cause there is all the metylphenidate you want, put it on Defrost or very low heat and just go until you have a white DRY crystal like smudge on the bottom. This is PURE metylphenidate!!!.. You could use it IV or snort it with very good effect

 

i just crushed 10 10mg irs and used 99% ISP just waiting for it to dry now.

 

wow came back with a line of flakes big as my pinky finger and thin... uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh snorted it but not sure what the fuss is about.

 

fuck concerta, the pill is a gel matrix that will gum up if u get it wet like the new ocs
